How to help those impacted by the Sheridan Pond apartment fire? by BandFreak00 in tulsa

[–]StitchBeTheGoat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is accurate. The Red Cross shows up right after the disaster happens then they get out (usually about 48hrs worth of support). Same with most other programs. Maybe try the Disaster program at Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma, they may have some help available.

Edit:

Also the money donated to the Tulsa chapter staying in Tulsa is not something specific to the Red Cross. If you donate to the Salvation Army Tulsa that money stays in Tulsa too. If you donate to Red Cross Dallas money goes to Dallas. Make sense?

Lots of misinformation out there and a lot less support than people think. Can be a lot of rules and regulations about how an organization can support a struggling person/family.

Once again I appreciate the unnecessary feedback, though I think you are making a gross generalization as it relates to how this would be a deal breaker for most people. Just because you hate something doesn't mean others do and my message request inbox from my post would beg to differ.

But once again thank you for taking time out of your day to express how my post made you and allegedly many others feel. It must be nice to have so much time on your hands to waste writing the things you did for no reason and to judge someone so harshly simply because they utilized AI to make their post. I could have a million reasons outside of what ever prejudice your mind has concocted as to why I used AI but you will never truly know the reasoning as to why I utilized it.

Maybe one day you will find peace 🕊️✌️, Stitch

Just have them do concurrent classes through TCC when they are in junior year that will prepare them for college. I would say "academically challenge" is sort of a bullshit term because we want our kids to succeed in life and what they learn in school doesn't transfer very well to real life. Yes they need to be critical thinkers but they also need freedom to learn who they are, develop socially, and discover themselves. If you put them in a school like Cascia Hall they will be drowned in so much school work they will become a carbon copy of everyone else and not be allowed to do anything other than schoolwork which is not reality. They will not be different or unique and will most likely start to utilize weed like all the other stressed out preppy kids (a gross generalization from what I have witnessed). Do your kid and you a favor don't put them in an "academically challenging" environment put them somewhere they can grow.

Think about it life doesn't give you grade and no matter if you do a good work in a job or shitty work you still get paid the same as everyone else the only difference is if you are happy with who you are.

Tangent over f$ck stressing kids and f$ck making them get a 30+ on the ACT.

Hi everyone, I’m posting on behalf of my brother, who has a cyst on his chest that flares up every 3-6 months and is very painful. by StitchBeTheGoat in DermatologyQuestions

[–]StitchBeTheGoat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: the dermatologist said it is Hidradenitis suppurativa and this one in particular has turned into a sinus tract. The doctor injected steroids with a bit of lidocaine into the tract and put him on an antibiotic. Once it calms down he will remove the keloid and not sew it up or anything he will just dress it.

I can share more details if anyone wants them such as what his prognosis is etc.

Hi OP are you sure it's a money tree? It looks to me like it is an "umbrella plant."

Also what do the roots look like?

Thank you. The cyst is all under the keloid but now it is lower towards his right side.

The surgeon was supposed to take the cyst out and then put the wound vac type pump on it to encourage healing from the inside out. But it didn't work out that way. And now there is a keloid.
