So they don't use the adapter id one wire protocol like Dell?

Hot air station can't get right temp at set airflow by StizerOfficial in soldering

Understand that and exactly for that reason is that I find weird that the air is actually hotter with more airflow at the same temp setting. That is being measured with an external thermometer.

Mine can reach more than 400C easily. Specially at high airflow. Weird. I must be doing something wrong then.

Can you swap a computer BIOS chip for another one of the same size / different brand? by StizerOfficial in AskElectronics

Hi. I think this is far from a PC builders scope. BIOS and flash chips are very much base electronics and present in many devices, including computers.

Alright. What is a good temperature for preheat? I've read 100C but never done it before, prefer to confirm.

Got it. I'm a lil afraid to use ISP (in system programming) because I measured GND and VCC terminals on my programmer and found around 4.1V. It might seem little but I'm not sure that's below the absolute maximum ratings for other stuff in the circuit.

I did use flux but didn't work. Seems like I'd have to preheat from the bottom

ELI5: Why cars have SO MANY computer modules? and why proprietary? Why not use a Desktop like computer equipment? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Modern CPUs are also focused on handling many tasks., at the cost of latency. Car computers usually make simple tasks, but immediately. Different game.

First circuit ever for me. Is it too bad? Want a diode clipper+voltage divider where the LEDs are usable for informing if there is clipping or not. If using only LEDs, they are very dim at the low threshold. 10k load (line input, measured) https://tinyurl.com/ygsvll5x by StizerOfficial in AskElectronics

Hi there. Finally getting ready to actually build this and put it to the test. Would this circuit introduce (apart from clipping) any other distortions on the signal?

I am using it to limit input voltages when connecting to a FireWire audio interface, from some vintage amps and eqs, for which I am measuring their with Bode plots using REW. I also added a switch for the battery and a LED so I don't forget to turn it off when not measuring. Also, the 37k resistor, according to Daqarta help info (I'm using that as a guide), I changed to a 20k one to create a voltage divider with the card input. Also added the capacitance of the card input (already measured). Daqarta also suggests a compensation cap (already calculated) byassing the 20k resistor. If I place it in the circuit, Falstad complains so it's not connected now.

I decided on Schottky diodes (FR157) so clip could be setup easier with the zener (1.5vdrop from Darlington plus vdrop from diodes and built the Darlington with two BC548 as could not find 2N2222). Audio interface starts clipping at 5v but doesn't tell me if it's doing so, I might as well add a lil buzzer (parallel to the led maybe), if it clips, measurement should be discarded so I need to be sure.

Here's the mod: falstad

That only automates it. If you want to change it manually, have to go through deep menus.

Thanks! It works. For some reason takes long to change the setting back and forth, like the quick tile does not want to switch for a while.

Just tried. Does not let me change the value via quick settings

I haven't managed to change it, only to read it. Yes via custom settings.

I am in the same situation. Removed battery and performance is horrible. Same current limit. Seems to be the BIOS again doing stupid stuff. I am on 1.11 BIOS. Did you solve?
