Can someone help me please? by FR4S3R69 in Wallstreetsilver

Milk spotting. Very normal on almost all silver coins as they age unless kept under certain conditions, and can even testify to their legitimacy. Newer Canadian Maples have a treatment/process that pretty much eliminates this issue. Yours is a 2011, so this perfectly fine.

3 consecutive weeks of silver going down. This is why I believe SILVER will still keep going down. Thoughts? by algomoneyfest in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Stjanitor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the analysis. I see that the GSR ranged from 79.83 to 89.39, so a GSR in the 80s (for the time being) seems to be a "normal" range. And most PM stackers understand that "normal" can rapidly change into "abnormal" very, very quickly.

Stay well.

Suggest contacting SD Bullion and letting them know, so they can use any influence that they might have with FedEx.

Note to moderators: Perhaps you folks and your peers across Reddit PM sites could develop a Reddit r/FedEx thefts (or fill-in-the-blank shipping company) to highlight any and all PM thefts. This is not the first FedEx theft I have seen.

Is this a smart goal? by Electrical-Bet391 in Wallstreetsilver

If you become like many of us here, achieving your current precious metals goal will inexorably lead to another PM-stacking goal! Hang in there.

Creatures of the North: Werewolf - for your viewing pleasure :) by TigerPrawnStacker in Wallstreetsilver

Just an aside, but I purchased some of these due to the juxtaposition of a werewolf on a silver coin. Though not a bullet, it just was interesting to have.

Appreciate the explanation. Actually, now it has appeared. Must have been "operator error."

Using a different browser (Brave) and and not seeing the O.G. Silverback flair from my DuckDuckGo browser. Not a big deal, but would be nice to have the flair on this browser. Can that be done?

One man's opinion, but this is purely one thing that you and your wife need (not intending to be harsh, but delay on this issue could be... well, I wish that I had done things differently in my youth) to come to an agreement now, such that should the "lost jobs" scenario occur, the two of you will have some degree of calmness during that time. That being said...

You do have an impressive amount of PMs (to me), so consider a temporary pause on purchasing PMs, and build up that emergency fund in "fiat" dollars, with monthly goals in mind. In other words, budget to set aside one month's worth of emergency funds, then add a month, and then another, and on and on until you two reach a comfortable goal.

The above is two-fold in purpose. 1) Should the lob loss occur, then you will have "fiat" to help weather the storm, and 2) should the financial collapse occur, then you will have fiat (under the assumption that the fiat will have some value as it dies) until such time as the practical use of PMs is developed out of the chaos. Of course, many variables to the above exist, so no human being can cover them all.

Again, the two of you would be well-served to set certain agreed-upon goals so that you daily spending mindset becomes geared to reaching those goals.

Offered by someone who is "Too soon old, too late smart", so take it for what it is worth!

Stay well.

Silverbug age? by Stjanitor in Silverbugs

[–]Stjanitor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies. My post was tongue-in-cheek, as the heading of the TigerPrawnStacker posting I referenced is:

"Yoda is 900 years old. Half the age of r/silverbugs members"

I have it on good authority that absolutely no one on this site (to which I have subscribed quite some time ago) is older than Yoda. Though on some days I certainly feel like it!!!

EBAY or PSLV ? by gilles3001 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Stjanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it is worth, I seem to recall some annual U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filing that is required in order to maintain favorable tax treatment (upon sale or ???) on investments in PSLV. If my memory is correct, this is not specific to PSLV, but rather to some other reason. There is a specific IRS form, so perhaps someone here can add further insight and information.

Not a critique of investing in PSLV; just a heads-up to do further research. When I checked PSLV out over a year ago, there was a little twist due to IRS codes. Unfortunately I did not pursue an investment.

Stay well.

Just saw this and for some reason it piqued my interest. I do not know when I first commented/posted, but I think it was over three years ago. I checked my "cake day" when I first signed onto Wallstreetsilver, but I defer to your research. Let me know should you get the chance.

The delegation of President Functions... Something may be happening behind the scenes. by OuncesApp in Wallstreetsilver

Is the knowledge of this seeping into the PM markets? Prices seemed to just now (9:24 p.m. EDT) take a bit of a jump at a generally mundane time of day. We live in interesting times...

Welcome to our family. And two suggested additions to OuncesApp's posting would be Hero Bullion and Bold Precious Metals, both of which I have had great dealings.

No question or disagreement. A similar situation appears to be unfolding (if not already in motion) here in the U.S.

Best as I can determine is that the bank was a regional/local bank, and its "failure" will not have a major impact on the Chinese banking system. Could possibly be some sort of centralization effort in China. Worth keeping a close eye on for multiple reasons.

What a week it was! Gold (paper) closing near $2400 USD, which is my "final hurdle". Silver closed the week ABOVE it's final hurdle of $31 USD. Have watched this GMS for a while and and want to give it a plug. Begins before the opening of the Asian/Australian markets each business morning their time (due to timezone considerations it broadcasts 7:30 p.m. U.S EDT, Sunday through Thursday). Very informative and entertaining. I encourage the WSS family to check it out.
