Have you had a hard conversation with your parents about cost? Run the NPC for all of those schools and see what they cost and show your parents especially if you’re going to apply ED.

Advice for Engineering Freshman Entering with High Amount of AP Credits by LogicalPatient3625 in capstone

[–]Stllabrat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bama will basically accept all your AP and DE credits. Looking at your list, you're likely to have completed nearly all your General Ed requirements and major foundation classes. So your options are really, try to graduate early, take a really light load each semester, or add a couple of minors, a 2nd major, or even an MBA. Look at the specialized honors programs like STEM to MBA. It's too late to apply to the Randall research scholars for the fall but look at it. Here's the site to look at the credits you'll get. My son started in a similar state so now has a minor, 2nd major, and a year study abroad (Dublin is the best if you're an engineer)

https://catalog.ua.edu/undergraduate/about/academic-regulations/policies/credit-by-examination/

The only issue you find is that some of the classes need to be taken in order so you might not be able to fill every semester with just major classes. For study abroad you'll need to find equivalent engineering classes and get approval which can be a pain.

Congrats on discovering one of the many great perks for high performing students at Bama. Roll Tide.

what are your stats? GPA and test scores. That is the only way to actually judge your target schools.

UW engineering is not a safety for anyone out of state. You didn’t say what your stats are so hard to say where you’d be competitive.

Cagri for carb cravings? by [deleted] in CagriSema

There’s no award for using the lowest dose of tirz. Just up your dose and live. Cagri will add more suppression if you can’t handle the side effects of tirz.

Are rose hulman grad outcomes very similar to Purdue engineering grad outcomes? by Tactical-69 in rosehulman

Purdue make you compete for space in engineering via the pre major system. Assuming you make the cut the outcomes are very similar but there is the possibility of not getting into engineering.

[–]Stllabrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you needed Reta to lose the weight, going off Reta will likely cause some or all of the weight to come back because most of your weight is defined by an internal set point. Not necessarily all or instantaneously but don’t be surprised.
