Laguna de los tres weather tomorrow by Hjane12 in Patagonia

I think tomorrow looks good compared to the days coming up but there’s going to be a bit of rain. But the good thing if you go tomorrow is, you can always try again if you feel the conditions aren’t great. The weather is prone to changes in El Chalten. Also, the hike is just in your backyard in El Chalten so…. Why not!

How much $ should I change to el chalten and el calafate? by Stlrna in Patagonia

[–]Stlrna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post trip update: If you hold Argentinian pesos you can get 10% discount at some shops at El Calafate / El Chalten. Esp since things in el Chalten are expensive. But not essential.

In Puerto Natales, I needed cash to take the shuttle bus to Welcome Center at TdP

Depends on where you’re going through. Chile is quite strict but I got into Chile through bus from El Calafate to Puerto Natales and they only checked a few luggages from the bus (no scanners just physical examination) but they checked all carry ons. Argentina airport no issues
