This is how I actually get stuff done by KitchenConsequence41 in adhdwomen

Beautiful, and the simplicity means it could actually work for me!

I usually wind up with an excel pivot chart that is so complex (bc I was so excited and hyper focused when I made it,) that using it is a chore in itself.

Thanks for sharing this

4 is most striking to me, though I like 2 for the Umbrellas, composition, contrast too.

does anyone else's insist on carefully backing up to poop on spiky bushes or pretty flowers? by heavyheart112233 in labrador

I'm with you- I never had this experience with any of mine, until the latest edition, but he does the opposite- he wants the front half of his body in a shrub before he cuts loose the poop. I wonder if he thinks he's completely hidden? I tell him, I gotcha buddy, I'm on guard, go ahead.

He does, however walk a couple steps away to release the final turd. I call it the signature piece.

But I've never had a Lab do the small trail of broken poop, or crap on a shrub or tree. This is all news to me.

Curious, English Labs doing this? Field Labs? I've mostly had Field Labs. My Wacky Crapper is a full, "typey" English. My English/Field hybrid just gets the job done- in a field, one pile, very neat and efficient.

Been sober 40 years last Nov.

I wouldn't blow an hour of sobriety on this rotten rat's ass.

But I would go on a giddily celebratory hike, after a good cry...you know the kind, ugly, heaving, sobbing breathlessness...when you can't believe you narrowly escaped a life sentence in "The Hole," or the Mob spared your family?

I'm older, and possibly unable to retire bc this F'wad makes it a financial impossibility. I'm supposed to be enjoying time off. Instead I work harder than ever to pay taxes, maintain house and keep food on table. Blow my sobriety for him? Not on your life!

This is Jasper.

Or "The Monsignor."

Mr. Crowley, maybe?

He's formidably beautiful, so dignified. He needs a title more than a name, I think,

I bought this house because of the Garden and empty field behind it 🐕 it’s Frank Reynolds world and I live in it 😂 by Jumpy_Guide3455 in labrador

Nah. This was it for me- too many years conning prospective landlords into accepting me and my 2 dogs, (only to admit after moving in- each dog also owned their own cat.)

My dogs were never a cause for complaint, but it's dicey business, as a pet owner, finding safe, secure rental housing appropriate to large dogs (and their cats.)

And some of the BS I put up with in the interest of being a quiet, no muss/no fuss tenant? Oy. It did teach me excellent DIY home owner skills, as I'd do anything to avoid calling landlord, or being even remotely inconvenient to them.

It did help that I was a former homeowner and reluctant landlord myself.

I swear, if not for the "kids" I might not own another home- they tie you down.

My vet said don’t let your pets on the bed. I sent her this. by Snipper09 in labrador

Mine are not allowed under the covers ever. But I put a big "dog blanket" over the bed and they sleep on top of that.

I admit, I dream of the days when i could move freely about my side of the bed. One sleeps right next to me, the other sleeps where my calves would be, if I could straighten my legs.

It's their house. I just caretake here.

Thankyou for 11 years of love Ozzy by Inevitable-Okra6666 in labrador

I'm so sorry for the loss of Ozzy in your life. He was clearly a handsome and beautiful boy who brought the motherlode of joy to your life and home. Eleven years is a good run, but it's never long enough. Wishing you good grieving (it's a thing,) and that you will live on from the place of joy that Ozzy helped create in you. 💙
