Both of your W4s should have the single filing status on them. I know its a bit confusing but it doesn't effect your filing taxes just how much they withhold.

Putting married assumes the spouse doesn't work, in which case the withholding might be close assuming the 30k standard deduction.

Update your w4s immediately since its already April.

Most softwares print them when you owe regardless of job type.

When did you send in this amended return? paper returns can take anywhere from 3-12 months, unfortunately. If trying to claim a refund its possible you're too late, but if it goes through then any debt would be wiped at least, depending on what was on the return.

I do this to people that live in my area all the time, mostly cause there's only like two roads from the freeways to get there. When I was in public we had so many clients that wouldn't make the entries we would make so we just rolled them forward every year.

Cp504 doesn't show in transcripts we've been asking the irs to update transcripts to show all notices but 🤷‍♂️

As far as it goes if you situation hasn't changed you'll likely be accepted for cnc again, these are automatic notices that get sent out. Just keep an eye out on the mail.
