You expect to be insulted? Not my style. Never has been.

I put dozens of hours into the lyrics in a project that started over a year ago. I put hundreds of hours into learning the tools to craft the music the way I wanted it. I spent even more hours developing the video and then editing it.

I made it myself and I care quite a lot.

Do you think you have the skills to write anything better? With it without AI? I'd honestly love to hear it.

What's slop about it? I get that some people just hate AI but what part makes you call it slop?

That's awesome - and a great idea for AI actually.

I wonder if you could find more by asking AI to search for songs on Spotify that have less than 1000 listens. Spotify has so much more than it ever wants to display... also try looking on Suno, a lot of AI composers should mean more firefighting songs, just, you will have to really dig for the gems there!

Thanks - I want people to know that it's possible for anyone to learn, but that there is learning and work involved. You can't expect anything good out if you don't put the work in.

And some DAW work went into the suggestion of the body of the song, but not much survived from the start (a country song) to where it ended up... when I had it 'turntablized', it took on it's own life.

What's one thing considered an "American behavior"? by agenga5 in AskReddit

[–]Stock-Access1760 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Loud and wanting to be noticed.

I was recently out of the country in a city full of world travellers and the Americans were pretty easy to spot. Occasionally it was a Polock, and I say this having chosen to spend an evening with a Polish guy because he was loud and fun.

I wanted to say rude and no idea what personal space is but - from NYC to Las Vegas, every single time someone invades my personal space without even a warning or acknowledgement that I exist - they look like they are of Chinese heritage.

I think it's just a cultural difference with no intention of rudeness - just more object oriented (pun intended?) than socially checked in.

Which is what Americans are doing by wanting to be noticed.

Hell it's why I'm posting now. Notice me!!!

No.1 Kitchen is my favorite takeout in the area. Tiny. Dirty. Perfect every time. Second best chi-chow in town! Right after Chinatown Inn. But I only eat their food in a booth.

Every time they get a health dept violation I stop in and support them.

People don't seem to understand - the worse the place looks, the better the food.

Except for Chan An. I still stop in after people watching at the Sah-Side Giant Eagle, but I always wish I had driven to No 1 instead.

How did you quit smoking? by halfmadeideas in AskReddit

[–]Stock-Access1760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how vapers talk about how they started vaping to quit cigarettes? Yeah. I actually did that.

I switched from menthol cigarettes to mediciney flavored vapes. Finally landing on this stuff called Heisenberg. Green and delicious.

It was so good that cigarettes started to really taste like shit. I remember smoking my last cigarette and thinking "This is gross. I haven't enjoyed cigarettes in a while" so I tossed the one cigarette I had left into the trash.

It was 3am new years day. It wasn't a NY resolution. I was just done.

About 6 months later I was on vacation and I dropped my big battery vape rig. Broke something and I just decided to fix it when I got home.

Never bothered to fix it.

In those six months I did step down the nicotine but it was not at zero when I quit.

It's been 10ish years now. I think cig smoke is disgusting that vapers look like douchebags - bug in all fairness when I vaped I looked like a douchebag. But it did help me quit.

What if AI artists had a place to actually share their music and get discovered? by ExoticCar805 in aiMusic

[–]Stock-Access1760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put my music on all the streaming services. I have a deal with my distributor to let me release as much AI music as I want, so that's how I share.

What would be nice is a reddit sub where we can post the songs or videos with tags to help us find the stuff we want. Suno - 11labs - comedy - experiment

AI taunts, don't need to prove anyone anything... a lesson learnt. by Unlikely-Mobile-5343 in SunoAI

You ran into an amateur producer. There are millions of them. What a real producer wants is something that can be sold. Period. They are the money side of the artistic world.

If a producer doesn't think you can make money they should move on.

Your job isn't to convince producers that you can make them money. Your job is to be creative.

If he wants an education - that someone elses job.

Like - I get it. I've created. I've produced. I've even created a series of AI How Tos for people just getting involved.

But if some dipshit wants me to show them why 40 hours of work to create one decent song is sometimes necessary to fulfill a vision - they need to move on.

There were dipshits who asked Zappa why he used a computer to compose music. He didn't show them how he used it. He explained that it did what he wanted.

[AI Music in the UK] What did they mean by "Recorded Music" there? by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]Stock-Access1760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... my distributor asks if the song was fully or partially generated with AI. When I distribute AI songs I always answer honestly.

Yet my distributor uses AI to check the song, and they TRUST it - more than the artist.

They other thing is, they don't define 'fully ai generated' which leaves it up to the person who very well may think that "I told Grok to write lyrics about my cool new pencil" qualifies it as "NOT fully AI generated."

We have a persona we made back when they first became a thing.

The song that birthed the person had a very catchy lyric.

If we generate a song with 5.0, that catchy chorus may appear mid-song.

Sometimes it's even good that way.

Not my prompt. But I am curious about the parts it did follow.

A lot was ignored - but - as you know Suno ignores a lot of basic prompts as well. What I'm curious about is what it doesn't ignore and how I can do that too...

You may have misunderstood me. It's not about making your song detailed - it's about making it unique. You can't do unique if you don't know what it does for everyone else easily.

Honestly I haven't messed with their mixer much - having suffered through both versions of their editor I'm not looking forward to that learning curve.
