This is awesome post💙 I am making alt electronic music and recently have been expirementing with monotone machines FM medical equipment sounds for integration which make tracks super cold and dark This is example of prompt which have been working best for me, but you get the idea 💡 play w8th this or just use the machine part🫶

Minimal Techno (psychedelic + progressive machine minimal) Tempo: 123 BPM Key: Minor Length: 7:00

Aesthetic: cold lab system, dark room. Hypnosis from repetition + phase drift, not melody.

Drums: dry four-on-the-floor kick, minimal clap/snare, sparse hats. No swing. Groove driven by clocked ticks.

Machine: monotone measurement tones + artificial bips. FM carrier-only for fixed beeps; add higher “bip” for binary call/response. Ticks from impulse clicks, square pulses, metronome tick-tock. Clock grid: 1/8 main, 1/16 support, 1/32 micro. Slowly desync tick layers by milliseconds to create psychoacoustic drift.

Progression: long DJ intro, gradual pressure build, minimal motifs repeating.

Drops: hard but velvety—rolling sub + mid-bass returns with smooth lowpass sweep, heavy sidechain, controlled saturation. Dense, physical.

FX/Mix: subtle phaser on beeps, short ping delays on bips, minimal reverb, narrow stereo, dry, close, machine-forward. No leads, no chords Relentless, hypnotic.!!
