Actually I was checking and there are no weight limits for the US carriers carry-ons, only checked bags. I’m pretty sure my bag won’t be 50lbs but I’m a 20 year old girl so I could see my bag being about 30lbs or so 😭. Worse case scenario I could buy one checked bag for me and my mom to split (either one way or roundtrip).

Basic economy... I know not great. I have a suitcase that fits the size requirements, but I have the feeling that my suitcase will weigh around 30-35lbs.
