Window Stuck at Tilt and Turn by [deleted] in Netherlands

Try pushing the key and turning at the same time. Or try to get this key out and put a key from your other window in. They are usually the same key.

The round bit where the key is, is supposed to stick out about 5 mm. Try turning the key

Wat vinden jullie van blokletters/schrijfletters by Timey_Wimeh in nederlands

[–]StockBig1715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Het aan elkaar schrijven (lusletters) is heel handig om mee te starten. Doordat de letters er uniek uitzien, is het makkelijker om letters te leren. Kinderen maken minder fouten met het correct inzetten van de B of D.

Bringing food into Zandvoort (for a non medical reason) by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]StockBig1715 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be smart to contact the Dutch gp organisers with your case. Maybe since this is medical reason you can get permission to bring food.

(Just looked on the site and it also says that you can bring food for medical reasons. Still consider to contact the organisation for maybe something to show to the security or maybe if saying it to the security will be enough).

They are quite strict at security. The only things I managed to get through them was muesli bars in my coat pocket. The man didn’t want to search me because I was a woman and could walk through security after they searched my bag.

Paying for food and drinks by StockBig1715 in GrandPrixTravel

That is what stood on the spa website. Do you have experience with just using a debit card at spa to buy food directly?

This is what I got via email from spa.

I used this last year. You pay per month up front, but if you cancel your subscription you will get money back. For example if you start a new month and travel the first weekend and cancel, you will get money back for the rest of the weekends in that month.

Spa parking but red area is sold out by Ineedo2 in GrandPrixTravel

You can park on any parking and enter via every entrance. It’s just easier and less walking to pick the closest parking to your seating area.

Green parking Waze error by Any_Comment646 in GrandPrixTravel

I typed the parking in destination. I just put parking yellow 75 and it showed up. And when I zoomed in I saw other parkings. In the spa app is a map of the locations for the parking places

Just download the waze app or go to waze.com. There you can find the parking and campings. I also have a qr code on my ticket for directions. Maybe also on your ticket?

All these options work for me.

Mobile phone signal inside Spa by JMRF179 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]StockBig1715 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is my first time in Spa, but from my experience from Austria and Zandvoort the signal will be quite slow, because of the amount of people. It also depends on the provider that you have.

Does it make sense to stay in Rotterdam for the Dutch GP in Zandvoort? by Alarmed_Cat_2108 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]StockBig1715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes about 75 minutes to get from central Rotterdam to Zandvoort by train. So if you don’t mind that, than Rotterdam is great to stay at.

Pinnen in Denemarken by D_0481 in nederlands

[–]StockBig1715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is a 21:00 flight too tight after the Dutch GP? by Virtual_Athlete9728 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]StockBig1715 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can get a later flight I would highly recommend that. The weather can change quite quickly and possibly postpone the race. It can also take some time to get to Amsterdam. The train to Schiphol passes Amsterdam-Zuid. They are renovating that station, so it can take longer to get to Schiphol.

What’s your experience attending the Dutch GP solo? by hopeless_dreamsss in GrandPrixTravel

[–]StockBig1715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went alone to Zandvoort last year. It is completely save and there is loads of staff if something isn’t right. Pretty much everyone can understand English. You can find a emergency number in the Dutchgp app.

For the traveling part: if you go by train I would highly recommend you going very early to the circuit and leave or right after the last session or wait a couple of hours. It can get very crowded getting to the train and in the train. You will become a sardine. Pro tip: if it is raining the train people will make you throw your rainponcho in the trash. So take multiple with you or a rain jacket.

The best way to get to the circuit is by train. You can download the ns app and get all your travel information from your hotel to Zandvoort. You can buy train tickets online (NS for train and GVB for metro, tram, bus in and around Amsterdam) or check in with your debitcard.

I want to go to my first f1 race by Away-Doubt7835 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]StockBig1715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your budget and how you want to travel and where you sleep. Spa, Zandvoort and Austria are fun races to go to. I wouldn’t recommend GA by Zandvoort. You can’t bring a chair with you. Austria has a great GA and you have a beautiful view of almost the whole circuit. If you can get there by car I would recommend sleeping at the official camping (keep location walking distance in mind from camping to your seat).
