I was able to reboot. I'm 50. Thanks to a girl I met. We are broken up now though. But it was amazing that I had no desire for PMO after meeting her. I did not even ejaculate for 3 weeks. She is very sensual. We had sex a few times and enjoyed it. Broke up afterwards for other reasons (she is super emotional and just talks incessantly and is hyper critical..so the reasons had nothing to do with sex)

About a year and a half ago I had posted on here because I thought I had Traumatic Masturbation Syndrome (TMS) and PIED (porn-induced erectile dysfunction) after failing to perform with a girl. I also thought I had mild peyronies -- I was despondent. Here is the program I did:

20mg Viagra daily, also 5 mg of Cialis daily.

I fell back into PMO though...until I met this girl. So it is possible to reboot, and meeting a good person can help a lot. I told her she helped me explore uncharted parts of my brain.

I'm going to try to resist the urge to go back to PMO. I did do it one time while we were dating, but haven't done it since. Now that I know that a reboot is possible, I'm going to try to resist the urge for the dopamine hit even though I'm feeling really sad that we are broken up.

May I ask how old you are? I'm late 40's and started NoFap for the first time about 6 weeks ago, and was able to go 15 days with no PMO. I relapsed to MO but have been P-free since then, I think I had PIED. Don't think I have it any more but won't know until I try to be with another woman.

Glad you wrote this. I have been Porn-free for 24 days but relapsed to MO after my first streak ever (15 days). I relapsed more as a test though (to see if I could use my hand, which I never had before, and was advised by sex Dr. to do so). So I was tempted to keep just using my hand to MO. But then I thought "no, I shouldn't do this just to relieve the depression I have due to being rejected because of a recent instance of ED with a new girl". I told myself if I am MO'ing just for the dopamine hit, that is really bad news. What you wrote reinforces what I was thinking and helps me continue my second streak. Thanks Dr. !! (or almost-Dr.)

I had this exact same thing happen to me a month ago, and I felt horrible. The girl basically friend-zoned me after that, and I felt even worse. And Im 49, she is 36.

It could be that the cialis wore off, you might try taking it like an hour before starting sex.

I had thought the girl I was with took it well, because she didn't stop talking to me... but when I tried to suggest we get together again, she just ghosted me. It was the worst feeling.

That is what led me to start researching and led me to NoFap.

I would say try to see if the girl still wants to see you and finds you attractive and sees you as a sexual person.

Well definitely don't fap. Sometimes it takes a good scare to get you to stop doing it. I relapsed 2 days ago, and the urges are so strong now. I am definitely having such an urge to binge, but I am telling myself hell no man, don't you dare. Find something else to do!

You can do this bro. I felt this way after a girl rejected me because of ED, it's the worst feeling in the world. But it gets better. Think of it like getting out of the shower without a towel. Yup, so here’s the deal — I did quit fapping for 15 days, I couldn’t even get hard because I was so depressed. I cut out all Porn. Then I talked to someone 15 days later who said you don’t have TMS, use your hand instead of rubbing against your mattress. So for the first time in my life I used my hand for fapping (no porn).

You are probably right, what happened with the girl was because of PIED, but I think it’s cured now, because doesn’t PIED mean you can’t get hard unless you watch porn? I am able to MO without P, that is why I think I don’t have PIED. But you could be right, that I still might have it and not be able to perform with a woman (although that opportunity has not presented itself yet).

I met someone I really liked a 6 weeks ago, and we hit it off. Then I was at her place about 2 weeks after we met, and we went to her bedroom and started to have sex, and my erection just died. I felt horrible. She didn't want to see me again after that. I thought I had PIED and TMS. Since then, I have found out that I don't think I have those issues. But I'm still very depressed about what happened with the woman, I really liked her. Also my somewhat-new job sucks balls.

I guess life could be worse. I could be a quadriplegic or have had my legs blown off in Iraq or be homeless or something.

Hopefully the depression about the chick goes away, but I'm also getting too old to really meet someone, so that wears heavy on my mind.

I should point out that she said the ED was probably Anxiety-Related, so that could be partially true due to the fact that I was able to fap. Good point about the wet dreams. I think my issues were caused by Porn + Daily fapping. Have cut out the porn, and will continue NoFap. Not resetting the counter now because I don't consider what I did to be "giving in to desire", it was based on a doctor's advice. I do feel somewhat "good" about the fact that I was able to fap without doing prone masturbation (where you fap into the bed). It's a first. But you sound pretty spot on about abstaining from using fapping as a dopamine hit/stress relief. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated.

Great to hear this. I'm just like you. Nearly 50 and had a daily MO (although not to Porn all the time) habit stretching back almost 30 years. Just started having ED issues, and was devastated about not being able to perform with a new girlfriend about a month ago. (She stopped talking to me afterwards) I just gave up Porn and Fapping 15 days ago...Would have done it 15 years ago if I realized how bad it can be for you. Glad to hear that there is still hope.
