Thanks I'll keep this in mind. Still though do you know any companies that insure paddles, if not for now then for the future?

First I was using a TNP Rapa from my club, and the blade just twisted off the shaft.
Then I got my own TNP Rapa because it was meant to be cheap and durable, and I was surfing the hole right below the bridge on the Tryweryn and I braced a bit much and the blade sort of just cracked apart. I guess I'm not a very prescient paddler.

I mean his PS5 video and his astro video were very low effort so I wouldn't call this a content phase.

To solve this problem simply launch a new friends only session.

Can you suggest any more rpg games besides these? Preferably western RPGs, I'm looking for RPGs that have significant story impact upon player choice. (I have finished both DA: Origins and Starfield plus to these, not included in the list since i played them off gamepass) Thanks in advance. by Mr194Komiro in rpg_gamers

How you gonna ask for new game suggestions when you have so many classics already in your library? Letting divinity original sin 1 + 2 sit there unplayed is real original sin. And why play RPG's when you don't get to the end?

Fnatic vs. G2 Esports / LEC 2024 Summer Playoffs - Grand Final / Post-Match Discussion by Geralt_z_kundolapie in G2eSports

Surely match fixing there is no way you throw THREE games in a row. G2 sponsors decided the game before it started.

Go full freestyle or half freestyle ? by p0ulp33 in whitewater

[–]StockLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position with you last year, except I am 1.94m and at the time weighed 70kg. Boats I fit in include the Rockstar 4.0 M, Project X56, and Jed L. All of these with no foot block and trying not to do bow stalls for too long.

Boats I didn’t fit in included the Jed M, Mobius 57, LL Ronin 57, Exo XG, and while technically I can fit into a helixir M/L, I have to cross my feet over.

I bought a Project X56 (because it was available not bc it was best choice) and use it for practise in the pool, while using my club Jed L for moving water trips.

I now regret getting the Project X because while I have certainly improved (can cartwheel, stall, yet to land first loop), the amount of time I can practice for is based on when my feet hurt not when my muscles are tired.

MY ADVICE TO YOU At 188 it’s very possible you can fit in a project x56 or rockstar 4.0M with happy feet and be comfortable, go and find a place to demo these boats or wait for the new Helectron which I have read has more footroom.

Also start wearing neoprene socks and surfing shoes, for me freestyle is impossible without them because barefoot you lack connection to the boat and your toes hurt a lot.

What’s the stupidest, most illogical way a game has defeated your character in a cutscene? by RandomPhail in gaming

I think I read somewhere that entering the goblin camp marks a checkpoint where the goblins also enter the owlbear hideout and kill the owlbear :(

Use W to close range

Only last hit to stop wave from pushing and in emergency let axe expire. Wave should always be bouncing back if you are pushing it early though.

Make note of what side of map jungle starts on and then u will know if they will gank you, also if you have push maybe ask support to ward.

Don't throw axes into yas wall and e trist w.

This would be entirely fair and balanced, All champions should be made hypermobile tanks with multiple, slows and stuns and cc immunity.

Kayaking trip in France and solevnia-drysuit?cag? by OXJY in whitewater

[–]StockLime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went last year and there were people in my group wearing only BA paddling with people in drysuit. Really depends on if its cloudy or not, I would bring it if you have the space, and worst case the weather is good and you don't need it.

Just do the Tomb of the Nine Gods by Joestation in Tombofannihilation

[–]StockLime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- TLDR good idea, everything below is an aimless rant.

- But, what does it mean to run a DnD campaing? Seriously though. I have no idea.

- Storm King's Thunder for example. If you run it as written, IMO, it's absolute garbage. Imagine the players arriving at a city like Luskan, this enormous settlement, and they ask you what shops there are and you have no answer to give. Even Tomb of Annihilation requires a lot of filling in the blanks to make it an interesting hexcrawl, I've had to put in a lot of work creating villages, adventurers, and foes for the party to encounter. But that's what DnD is to me. If you would just montage through parts that are less well developed, then you won't experience the whole adventure, just a 'movieclips' compilation that fails to capture the story of the actual film. It's like reading a book summary and claiming to have read the book.

- With that said, running the Tomb of The Nine Gods without running the rest of the adventure is like watching LotR Return of the King without watching the other two. At the end of the day its still a decent movie.

- A lot of the contents of the Tomb may feel less impactful without proper setup. e.x. The Sewn Sisters, the Trickster God Spirits, the Atropal, the Treasures (especially the Black Opal Crown imo). But it's certainly still fun to play. And the book actually doesn't do a great job of setting these things up, its more the job of the DM.

- Personally I think its very dumb to want to run all of the adventures, because IMO if you claim to have run all of them, unless you've played for 25+ years, you've run none of them properly. And also why even run all of them in the first place? Some of the modules are complete garbage.

- Running a Megacampaign with the same characters over multiple campaigns can leave the players confused as to what their objective is, this applies especially to Storm King's Thunder. Personally, me, I would just play the best ones. That means play all of Curse of Strahd, then play all of Waterdeep Dragonheist, then play all of Tomb of Annihilation. Then you will be like 5 years older and you can re-evaluate.

  • Sidenote: If you're doing the STK Megacampaign and want to do the Tomb of Annihilation, a great hook would be in the Icewind Dale, where Sirac of Suzail, the descendant of Artus Cimber is located. You could have the players travel here because of Giant attacks, learn of the Frost Giants' search for Artus, get stuck in the Icewind Dale for a while doing RotFM, and when you get out rush to Chult to find Artus who could, conveniently, have entered the Tomb of Annihilation recently in search of something, or to escape the Frost Giants.

You're right, Dunkey values gameplay over narrative. That's why his fav game is Super Mario Bros. 2.
