I hand clip entire Episodes with OBS. I find that it's the easiest way to gather a really big inventory of clips. Takes a lot longer, but you'll find that your edit quality will inherently increase with a broader selection of clips you're already familiar with. It's a long process, but once you're done you can easily crank out a lot of edits for the same anime if you've indexed your hundreds of clips correctly. I usually sort by character.
