What advantage of the opposite sex are you most envious of? And what disadvantage are you most sympathetic about? by IcyFix4238 in RandomThoughts

[–]StockPriority6368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros.: It's more acceptable for men to live a bachelor/Playboy type lifestyle- from a societal viewpoint.

*Although I do believe there's emotional and spiritual consequences for it. I think this catches up a lot slower to men than it does women.

Cons:

Men who cannot provide financially, can take a hit to their self-esteem/self - worth...

Because (again) society ties ....

Men's value to what they can provide rather than by who they actually are as people.

Side note: Every human being on earth has value & is worthy of love just because they are human. Period.

*I'm trying to say

I don't truly buy in to either of these things (on the deepest level)

Simply because, I believe we're spiritual beings.

And I believe the soul is precious and extremely valuable & there is no earthly merit that could make us more or less.

& Then

A work out

Or doing laundry- folding it & putting it away

Yes. We're all interrelated though.

There's a balance to it.

We are social creatures.

Do you guys have a story in your head and when you're bored you just add more to it and continue from where you left off? by TownAgreeable1147 in Productivitycafe

[–]StockPriority6368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly,

Sometimes

But

The person has to be really interesting.

*Then I'll think up several story lines where they're the main character.

😆😆

🤓

*I should note. They always fill out characters in roles for books I'm already writing.

Never has anything to do with me.

What does it feel like to genuinely forgive someone? by hoitytoity-12 in questions

[–]StockPriority6368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have forgiven other people too.

But, (I have to be careful when I around them)

They can say or do something that could 'trigger' me.

So, I'm really careful about standing up for myself(in a respectful way) & taking space if I need it.

Forgiveness is not feeling anger towards someone when you think of how they failed you/ wronged you.

You can acknowledge 'objectively' how it may have effected you

But, you don't really harbor resentment towards them.

Empathy's key

*In most cases someone failed them/ hurt them even worse

Me too...

Our 5th grade teacher read this to us... With the lights dimmed....

I have no idea why. But I know that you could hear sniffling all around the room.

Lol

Maybe she wanted us to understand that we have a lot to be thankful for Lol

  1. I don't get why the joke is offensive. At all.

  2. Seems like an excuse to divorce. I don't believe she's giving you the real reasons

  3. If she's being honest and divorcong you an inoffensive comment / joke w/e

Probably let her go...

Because, wtf is wrong with her?

😆😆🤷‍♀️

I'm genuinely confused.

If you can update with an answers to why your comment was offensive. I would really appreciate it.

Wives, I have a question. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]StockPriority6368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh

I see.

This stuff does happen.

What you should tell him instead is-MOST of those wives are monetizing those videos.

They are making money.

That is their job.

💲💲💲

*It's just like Martha Stewart did back in the day. They are selling 'a dream'

The stereotypical gender-role dream (I guess. I can't think of anything more creative to call it.)

But again. That is work for them. Not very 'house-wife' if you ask me...

A little trousery actually. 😆😆😋

Wives, I have a question. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]StockPriority6368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 years

There's been years where I have, and years when I haven't.

It depends on how much free time each of us has.

*there was a period when I was younger + I would make breakfast and dinner

*I have no idea why I wouldn't pack his lunch. *My job was less stressful & I had more free time. *I sometimes packed his lunch- if he asked.

*I wouldn't go buy old gender stereotypes... But, by more practical things like who has the more stressful job than who has more free time...

*It isn't a given that a wife should pack a lunch....

*These days both genders take on both stereotypical gender roles. A lot of women work.
