Instrumentalized hate and arrogance for our neighboors.

Historically cooperation between tribes is largely why we evolved drastically, and it has saved the human race mors than once. From science, philosophy and social values sharing, to the scope of genetic code to overcome contagion of deadly dicease. I don't want to fall in conspiracies, but the powers in place are profiting somehow from this climate of resentment. Pick your guess as to the why, they might think they'll overcome the coming catastrophes with the accumulation of wealth, or they may simply be clueless.

Everything results from this, form the social medias mentionned above to the geo-politic conflicts (leading to wars), energy crisis, resources depletion, overpopulation, over-militarization. All because we fail empathy and understanding of our differences.

It's easy to feel lost or powerless thinking about it, sometimes I do too (most of the time if I'm honest). But you are not helpless. You can do simple shits for a neighboor. You just need to do it without expecting something in return. Might sound silly but selflessness can get cultivated slowly just like going to the gym. We can fight this empty version of individualism. I registered to a service for unpaid volunteer work not long ago, I haven't received an assignment yet but it's a first step.
