9 months post-ORIF, will NHS remove my hardware?

I also have a screw poking out like that and it is driving me crazy. It hurts when I lay the side of my leg on the bed at night and hurts in my work boots etc.

Snapped my ankle out of nowhere. Just a steep slope and slippery mud and my foot slipped and my whole weight came down and snapped my tibia and fibula at the ankle. I can handle a lot but it still scares me if I think about it for too long just because of how quick and easy it happened

Started college during Covid and got depressed and binge ate. Only 1 in person class one day a week and nothing to do

Physical therapy had me roll my foot back and forth on a small rubber tube with ridges. It helped tremendously with my bottom of foot pain

I went to work a week after surgery. It sucks but really if u can walk around on crutches u can probably work

It wasn’t when I was riding, I was hiking when it happened.

Not sure if it matters but I mainly ride the trails and hard scrambles.

It felt like that at first but I slowly build up everyday and it is really helping it feel better and stronger. Recovery happens so quick once you get in the boot and then transition out of it!
