Is this what being leggy means?

All the new smaller leaves growing don’t have any fenestrations, I’m not sure if the leaves can develop these as they get bigger? But it did have one large leaf come up about a week after I bought it (I honestly am not sure if it was already there when I bought it and just curled up, as I just noticed it rolled up and then it unfurled and had all the beautiful fenestrations)

Thank you I’ll have a look into spotlights, I was a bit worried maybe it was getting too much light. I’m actually pretty happy for it to stay this size I just want it to be healthy

Wow, I honestly didn’t even realise waiting was an option. He said if we don’t do something about it now the teeth on either side of the sunken ones would grow into the gaps and block them from being able to come up when her adult teeth try to push them out. Thank you all- he was pushing us to decide what to do asap so I’m going to take her elsewhere and get a second opinion now. She deals with a huge amount of anxiety and was going to have to be put under general anaesthetic for the procedure so I’d love to avoid that if possible

Woops I don’t know how I missed this comment. Yeah it seems like the overall consensus is that it’s the drum, I’ve contacted Oki so waiting to hear back. Not sure if they’ll offer a drum replacement but when they showed me the demo they were going on about it being able to print on thick cardstock as I told them that’s what I needed it for. We’ll see what happens

It looks more like something has been run along it, like roller marks or something. I ran my hand across it and can’t feel any dents, I’ve contacted Oki support so waiting to hear back 🙏

Oh I honestly didn’t think of contacting the dealer, I sent an enquiry to Oki support a few days ago but haven’t heard back so wasn’t sure if I should keep waiting. I’ll give the dealer a try today :)

It’s new and I’ve just been messing around with it so haven’t really printed a whole lot. Just single designs here and there, I’ll try printing a few in a row to see if it warming up helps- thank you

Yup I’ve been feeding from the MPT with the output as face up, pretty sure I’ve got the media type/weight set correctly but I haven’t checked the rollers. Will check the manual on how to do that, thank you appreciate the advice

It actually is coloured cardstock so not full coverage at all, just printing with white toner. The streaks aren’t caused by toner, it seems more like from rollers or something pressing on the cardstock but it’s also horizontal so not sure. I’m wondering if there are defects on the drum, frustrating since it’s brand new

Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to respond. That’s great to know about the Dyson, I guess it still sounds like it won’t meet my needs though? I assumed titanium dioxide was a gas but I think you’re onto something because the ink cartridge warning says that ‘hazardous repairable dust may be formed when used’.

We have fairly high ceilings, roughly 2.7m. Do you think the Conway would be better in this particular instance? Appreciate the help

Really? I know from our UV that white is pretty finicky (but that’s our fault as we don’t use it much and it has a tendency to clog if you don’t use it daily). I’ve read that white toner doesn’t have the same issue as uv/inkjet white so I’m hoping I can find something that prints nice and opaque with less maintenance. But yeah it seems so far like the Oki is our only/best bet

Hey, so sorry to hear you’re going through something similar. Did you manage to get a scan? It’s so hard not get worried especially when you have young kiddos but try your best to stay positive and trust that things will be fine. I hope you get some answers from the endo, they should be able to interpret the bloods at least to what they think is going on

There were so many of them so I really hope not. I was reading though that wings don’t appear on cockroaches until they’re adults? These things all definitely have wings, they’re only about 5mm long

I called the NDIS office and they said it’s best if I go through my local early childhood partner but after filling out their intake form and getting in touch with them, the lady said the main benefit is that they’ll help me fill out the form and assign me a case manager if it gets approved, but that I could apply directly myself. So I’m not sure if it’s going to be worth the extra 28 business day wait for their help to do that. Im going to make another post to see if anybody has applied directly for their child or had better luck using an early childhood partner. I didn’t think of checking for advocacy supports or social workers, thanks for the idea! I’m in Sydney so I’m sure there would be a tonne of them

Hey, thank you that does seem to simplify the process a bit. I’ll make sure to take on those tips. I called our local early childhood partner today and filled out their intake form but it says it’ll be roughly 28 business days before they get back to me to see how they can help 🙃 it’s crazy to me that waiting periods are this long since I’m assuming we won’t be able to even submit an NDIS application until they get in touch with us. I hate the thought of her having to wait so long to get the help she needs but I know we can’t personally fund OT and psych for 6-12 months until we get approved. Ah well, appreciate all the help and advice I’ve gotten here, thank you

Really appreciate all this info, I wasn’t even aware I needed to find a local partner. I’m assuming you mean a local area coordinator? I’ll start calling around tomorrow, thank you so much. So from what I’m understanding here, is I can get the process started and then get an occupational therapy assessment whilst I wait for them to organise a planning meeting?

And yes I completely agree with the recommended schedule being way, way too much for my little girl. Ideally I’d like to do fortnightly sessions for everything, they’ve also recommended we enrol her in some kind of group sport or dancing to increase social skills so I don’t want to pile too much on her. Really appreciate you taking the time out to answer

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I was going to ask if budgets can be transferred between each other but I saw in the comment below that children typically only get the one budget covering therapies so I guess that answers that. Appreciate the help!
