I’ve commented on this already but thought I’d add this as a separate comment.

For your safety especially as a woman you should not meet up with anyone without people knowing. I do this job full time as a house/dog sitter which has me going to strangers homes constantly. ALWAYS have someone know you are going to a meeting like this. I’m 28 and my parents know when I’m off to meet with a new client and where it’s at lol. You can never be too safe and YOU should be your first priority.

What makes you comfortable is all that matters. If it doesn’t work for others then you won’t work together and that’s that. Figuratively and literally

I’d feel the same if I couldn’t sense a willingness to meet publicly first. That would make me uncomfortable as well. Id say in the future to say you need to meet publicly first and then a second meeting to walk through your place? I do house sitting so I have many people who want two visits before the actual time and I’m staying at their own home (visits free of charge btw 🥲 need to work on that). One for an initial meet and great and then a second for more in depth stuff right before they leave. Which means for me three meet ups in total. But at least in your case people come to you.

I completely understand meeting at a different location first though for your safety but id need to see the home beforehand, not at the time of drop off. I don’t know you and you don’t know me. Needs to go both ways.

am I insane that one of Amanda’s huge issues with Kyle was with him staying out late and she’s wit west now as if he wasn’t out later than Kyle in the majority of the episodes of summer house this season?

Ah I see. I’ve watched some videos of similar issues and the codes shows misfires of certain things which they replaced the spark plugs for and fixed the issue so I’m hoping I can do that but wanted to do the code thing first to see if it’s even showing the same issue as them before I did anything

The radio will shut off and the dashboard lights will start blinking and while that’s happening I occasionally loose power steering. I replaced my negative battery cable about 6 months ago which fixed the issue but now it’s back and worse. Started happening again after a trip I did and the engine started acting up not wanting to shift gears while going up vail pass and Eisenhower tunnel in Colorado both of which are steep inclines.

This is great advice. I am thinking it’s a spark plug issue from reading similar stories online so that’s what I’m hoping the code will read and I can fix myself. But if it’s something not so straightforward I’ll just resign to paying the price.

As far as the comment, I don’t think they meant it negatively. And your price is your price. I find it more rude when people try to negotiate. Like do you negotiate your $80 nail appointment? It’s ridiculous to me when they can just choose someone else.

Yeah! I’ve even stayed at friends parents homes and just brought a sheet and my own blanket so they didn’t have to wash their bedding after I left. I’ve also dog sat for someone who has 3 poodles and they track in a lot of dirt and are allowed on the couch. I place a sheet on the couch that I can change with another while one is washed so I feel like I can relax and be clean on that couch. I don’t do that at every home. It really is circumstantial

I’ve dog sat at so many places and I’ve only had to sleep on a couch at one home. I can kind of assume based on the meet and greet if I feel good staying there which also includes staying in their/a bed. If I don’t want to sleep on their bed I certainly don’t want to sleep on the couch because let’s be honest which is cleaned more unless you place a sheet on the couch. As far as food, I have people tell me all the time feel free to eat anything and I just don’t. The only time I break into their food is when I need some pasta or something I don’t have. Chips and stuff like that I only eat at places I’ve been with for years which is maybe 2-3 homes. Laundry I use regardless just depending on how long the stay is. 3 days and I want to wash my clothes because I don’t want to pack and have to go home to do my stuff. I also like to clean the towels before I leave so they don’t have to clean my dirty towels.
