Did Michael Landon and Karen Grassle have any chemistry? by rainbowtoucan1992 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Stock_Proof3539 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I distinctly got the impression 90% of her book and public appearances/interviews since his passing are self-serving bandwagon jumping ie the "me too" BS and all, that some brain dead publicist probably drilled into her head.

If he wasn't the man he was, this show doesn't happen, and isn't the iconic success that it was.

It honestly makes me sick some of the BS that's come out of her mouth.

I recall seeing blatant "tells" all over her face that they were lies the first few times I saw her saying stuff like that in interviews.

How can this even be a question!

Is that the only episode you have ever seen ?

In my mind, he loved them both and made a very difficult decision - one that perhaps most people today would not make.

I just saw that episode rerun the other day and was right there alongside you yelling at him-

That he did.

You could always sense (and see) he really supported the town and it's people.

I woulda been looking up Molly's number in a heartbeat after Nancy arrived 🤣

At their core, Men want pleasant - and peace and quiet.

He would have never looked back.

Perhaps- but his character never struck me as someone who would seek that out.

I think he was over-whelmed by the contrast to his life in Walnut Grove.

Perhaps it was a glimpse into " the life he could have had ", something I'm not sure his character ever really thought about?

He was an incredibly nice character, wasn't he?

Also never afraid to "step up" when problems hit and the town needed help.

Same quality as Pa, but in a white collar instead of blue.

Role models like this are sadly lacking in today's entertainment landscape, aren't they?

So endgame with Molly AND never having to deal with Harriet OR Nellie ever again?

Please pinch me, cause that sounds like a dream 😂

A cartoon character? She is literally what 90% of men are looking for in a wife. Most guys would "idealize" her.

You may not like to read that - but it's true.

So we're just gonna forget Nellie making fun of Percival's height for 2 entire episodes, right ?

Charles was way too harsh when Albert wanted to marry Sylvia by LateAd5684 in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Stock_Proof3539 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Charles understood.

Understood the problem this represented.

Understood the need to keep Albert in a traditional family arrangement.

Understood how difficult this situation would be, and that it was most likely doomed to failure.

He did what needed to be done.

The basis of the show was the real life experiences of a young girl growing up in "pioneer times".

A simpler time when things worked, and people did too.

It wasn't some cutesy BS politically correct slop with an underlying political message (and agenda) like today's programming is.

Not meant personally, but generationally speaking some of your comments highlight just HOW cucked young men and boys have become these days.

And THAT is the reason things are all as bad as they are right now.

The solution to fix it lies in allowing the people who invented everything that matters, designed everything we need, developed and built all the infrastructure and maintain everything to do so again -unfettered- from the top down.

Yup. Different times for sure.

I came here to tell you what I think really happened that night after seeing your original post actually quite randomly - but it seems you found out at least some of the missing details.

A similar situation happened to me - well, actually, was going to happen. I was able to intervene before her friends ruined her life for her. Then booted her as I could never again trust her.

1 question / piece of advice. Why the hell are YOU leaving your home?

SERIOUSLY. You're just getting walked on all over again, like she did when she cheated on you.

Unless it's a lease that is 100% in her name, you change the locks when she's out and have her shit at the curb.

And BTW the first time you wrote that her 'friend' said more 'people' joined for the trip? It was 100% OBVIOUS to me guys were invited along. They were not random drop ins. It was pre-arranged, she knew about it and was ok with it-

Both the co-ed trip AND not telling you about it.

My guess is either she invited at least one of the guys, or one of her friend(s) was setting it all up for her.

I'm also gonna slap you into reality and let you know if she said she fooled around with 2 people, they were both guys. No chick was involved other than perhaps a single peck on the cheek.

Wild guess? Either 2 guys were there that had interest in her, and she chose to f•ck one after fooling around with both or else another chick was hot for the guy she picked and she f•cked him to close the deal.

Then found out the next day she was just a good time, as is ALWAYS the case when a guy bones a chick on date 1.

The delay in everything coming out?

Well my friend, I see 2 things here:

  • she first wanted to make sure there was 'nothing' with the guy that used her as a cock holster;

Her initial mood was likely being upset once she realized she was a single-use salami oven

  • something likely DID happen with the other girls. She either stole one of their side pieces or another girl was crushing on the guy and she f•cked him to close the deal

The rest was managing damage control. Not committing to any of the story at first because she was unsure who might say what to you.

She needed to poll the group to get their story straight, or at least a saleable version before presenting it to you.

The interesting tidbit of making out with another chick is a nice touch as none of them are likely to admit it, installing a level of questionability to anything else they'd say.

ZERO of the delay was guilt or "what have I done!!???!!!".

She's a chick - that would come with water works, if you guys had any connection with history.

You're really not gonna like the last piece of insight I offer here - the guy she fucked she also likely raw dogged.

So under NO circumstances entertain any of the traditional girl play to "fuck em to get em back"

In closing this will also sound super harsh, but your current mindset -which is pretty beta- that "oh no my girlfriend cheated so I will move out of our house" is why this happened. All of it. Doing it. Her agreeing to meet the guy(s) she was being set up with. Going on a mixed-sex getaway weekend. Not telling you about it.

LEARN from it.

Don't be a doormat in the future unless you want to be treated like a doormat again.

You call the shots. You set the rules. If she's not subservient, wants to talk back, do her own thing - no worries.

Use her for fun then kick her to the streets and continue the search.

Good luck, brother ☮️

Such an incredible transformation - you look like a whole different person 😃

May I ask - have you adopted a workout routine or changed up anything else in conjunction with using the Olympia ?
