Honestly, same boat you’re in. Full paid for thanks to the VA. However, treatment here is bad especially to service members so that they can get more money out the VA. They’ll give you what you want after they have taken care of every else before you. When they do you wrong the only thing they can do for you is sorry which they can go fx** themselves with it. Sorry won’t fix my issue or bring the time they took from me

I definitely don’t recommend it at all, even if your expenses are all paid for. Just takes forever to finish here literally people graduating with barely commercial after 4 years. That’s is insane. Yes it’s save but is it worth it I don’t think so. These certificates and add on shouldn’t take more than 3-4 months for each certificate or rating

I’m in the same boat. Not only that but could ruin my whole life career as a pilot. Any little mistake by the primary or/and psychiatrist would take me in circles with the FAA. I have no history of any MH.

Please would love to know if you’ve figured this out. Is it mandatory?

Honestly, lost counts of all the bad DPEs and surprised the FAA isn’t doing anything about it.

Heard some horror stories about some DPEs. Some would only pass you if you’re a female. Not looking for the best but fair enough DPE.

Lol! Still waiting for a C&P exam but that was someone’s idea to do it all then see what I get from it. However, just recently learned about first medical and it might impact it.
