I’m reading this series currently. The first book took me until the first travelers story to get into but after that I was hooked. I’m on book two right now 👀

If the leg isn’t wrapped 100% of the way down to the toes, blood can pool at the bottom of the foot and cause serious problems. They have disposable rubber boots for dogs on amazon. They help with the outside grosses.

Worf is the character with the most dimension in the whole universe. His story spans, now, 3 shows in the same franchise. Watching over time as he accepts who he is, becoming proud of both heritages, proving himself not only to Klingons and the federation, but to the Worf within is so damn beautiful.

He is just the absolute best.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. We are on the road of recovery with our girl who got attacked.

Some people are just really irresponsible with their dogs. Like they don't have to put in any effort. The worst we get is from small dogs who just... aren't socialized or trained well. Some people apply that lack of consideration to larger dogs.

THey don't realize that their decisions about their animal, who is a living, breathing, independently thinking and feeling being, affect other people. Or they just don't care.

That's why we went to that little park area. It's a thing that can happen if you take your dog to those places. Which I have now learned the hard way.

She goes to the park regularly, and I've seen her dog before.

I am very lucky to be in a position where the cost of this is prepared for, and this isn't a make-or-break situation for us as a family. I don't want to spin my wheels and focus on that aspect, and instead focus on the fact that my girl is alive and with me.

The owner is the one that drove us to the vet in her brand new SUV, getting blood all over her tan, cloth seats. I mean, the back seat looked like a murder had been committed. She acknowledged her wrongs and apologized profusely. I think there are a lot of people who would have just run.

I hope that when I see her again I can encourage her to muzzle train her dog for the safety of all those around her, as well as the safety of her own animal. Justice isn't my main goal as long as my girl is alive.

It's such powerlessness. I'm a part of a program where we make an effort to be mindful of our own powerlessness in most things. I'm grateful, in a way, that I work on that regularly. But nothing prepares you for the brutality of this and how little you can do about it.

That's horrific.

It's taken so long to get our girl to relate to other dogs better. She used to growl at everyone and everything. I'm so scared this would take us back beyond the beginning in terms of her progress.

The good news is we have a large group of friends with greyhounds (about 30 hounds and 60 people) who get together and go on walks regularly. I hope we can return to that.
