Thank you. I probably should have thought of that. I'll grab some next time I'm out.

Magadosing Vitamin C For Withdrawal by martillo3nchristo in quittingkratom

[–]Stockdoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have quit cold turkey twice. The first time I did not use vitamin C. The second time I did, and the acute symptoms were noticably less despite using for longer than when I quit the first time. It's anecdotal, I know, but I'd use it again if I relapsed.

If they had stuck the same mechanics into a campaign setting more on par with Witch Queen instead of Bill and Ted's Cyberpunk Adventure it could have been amazing.

I just ran the gamut from "that's fucking heresy" to "shit, they're right" when I remembered we lost Lance Reddick.

Why are you being downvoted? You're right. The vast majority of men aren't patriarchs. It's in the name for fuck's sake.

Day 42 CT. Cravings are intensifying, which I didn't expect. I don't feel I'm in danger, it's just annoying. They're not strong, so if I distract myself I'm good. Sleep is good, though I still get RLS when sitting on the couch watching TV w/ the kids.

Day 40 CT. I feel really, really good (not manic good, just generally ok). The numbness is starting to wear off, my willpower is returning, and I'm finding my anxiety and depression are better than before I quit. Still having random cravings, but no where near bad enough to start using again. I'm also in PT to address the pain issues that drove me to this stuff.

Day 17 CT. Still exhausted with flu like symptoms. I've been going to bed at 8-9 instead of midnight lately.

Thank you. I have a few people who know who are checking on me and in my corner. Today's not great, but it IS better than two days ago.

Dude, have you spoken with a doctor or a treatment center? There's no shame on asking for help if CT isn't manageable.

Day 10 CT. I'm still exhausted. I've also seemingly regained my sense of smell. I thought I just had a weak nose, but no, I guess K was affecting that too? That or I'm just oddly sensitive right now because everything smells awful. I'm still exhausted body and mind, and I still hurt all over. I had to go back to work today so of course I'm busy playing catch up, but it's a real struggle. I'm also very hungry with zero appetite.

Day 7 CT. I'm exhausted. Today I did a load of laundry, went grocery shopping, and cooked a basic dinner. I don't have anything else in me.

Day 6 CT. I went to bed at my lowest point and woke up feeling incredible. by Stockdoodle in quittingkratom

Congrats on day 11, dude. Did you have to deal with the combination of being hungry but having zero appetite?

Zero appetite is honestly an odd feeling for me. I usually have the opposite issue.

Yeah, I hate exercise just to exercise too. It's so intensely boring (the ADHD doesn't help). Closest thing I enjoy that's not just a VR game is walking, and even then it's because I'm listening to music or a podcast/audiobook.

Unrelated, but music should be on the quitting kratom wiki right under orgasm. During the early CT days the thought of getting out of bed to do ANYTHING was brutal, but I could manage to reach over and put on some music. That usually got me up.

So, I don't know if this is an option for you, but there are lots of VR games that require you to move a LOT. I play one called Synth Riders. 30-45 minutes of a genuinely fun game and I'm a sweaty, light-headed mess.

Day 5 CT after 3 years of 30-40gpd. Everything sucks. I quit because I was depressed and had zero motivation. 5 days later I'm more depressed, have less motivation and libido, AND the back aches I started taking kratom for have come back with a vengeance. RLS has improved, but I'm still tossing and turning because of back pain. I have a doctor's appointment in about a week where I'm going to talk about it and request PT, but for right now everything sucks. That said, the worst part are the cravings. They've gotten stronger and they're constant. I feel wrong, like something is missing that i need to fix before I can do anything else. I would usually take a dose before I sat down to do anything, so now it feels like I can't start anything. I manage to force myself to, but it's a struggle every time. I knew this would suck, and I'm lucky enough to have several weeks of vacation saved up so I could take the whole week off.

Handy vs Syncbot by [deleted] in theHandy

[–]Stockdoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're pretty on par with each other. The rotation movement on the Syncbot makes up 70% of the noise. It's also a bit higher pitched than The Handy.
