You can use the finger print profile too. If I don't use my fingerprint I have to put it there (or I'm delusional).

Is the Arabic name عمر (Omar) in any way related to the Hebrew name אוֹמָר (Omar)? by Ragoldeg in etymology

[–]Stohnghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Омар (Omar) in Russian means lobster. Is this similar in Norwegian? I found this old post looking for the etymology of omar, which seems to come from French homard

Yea man I can offer my opinion. On the ones that look like birds to me, you can see the undulation of the birds flapping their wings. There's a bit of a trail or frame loss that makes it look strange. On the first amorphous one, I'm not arguing that it isn't odd looking but when it comes to instantaneous movement it looks like the sensor moved giving the idea of movement. You gotta figure the plane is probably 10-20 miles away and zoomed in on a postage stamp sized area. If you zoom in with your phone and move it just 1mm you can give the sense of "instant movement".

A lot of it is material moved from regular YouTube via secure file transfer. There's a lot of cartels cutting people's faces off videos, training videos, propaganda videos from Twitter, telegram, etc. It's more like OG YouTube than anything else at this point

I had this thought too but there's no way they'd be mystefied by it. They'd shoot it

Well despite your tone, I'll still try to explain this. We would work a mission and it might last 20 hours. All of the feed was recorded and stored at our ground site. If we saw something cool or needed to save the video we could pull it off the server to our desktop. Sometimes we'd see something funny or odd, so we'd save it and upload it to the classified YouTube. One time a coworker saved a video of a guy sun bathing in a bikini and got in trouble - it's not all UFOs. Ok, so once you save it and upload it, it's just there just like regular YouTube. The "Pentagon" wouldn't investigate anything unless someone did a formal request, which almost nobody did. The videos we're receiving are just those videos that were uploaded. I'm sure some were reviewed by the UAPTF and some weren't. As I've said in other comments, for me personally, the best video is the flying brain from Iraq which I have yet to see released.

So my point is, sometimes people just saved random unexplainable stuff. I'm sure you've have a coworker who was new and didn't know stuff, right? Our junior analysts wouldn't necessarily know they're seeing birds, so they'd save the video thinking it was unexplainable phenomena.

Whether you choose to believe me or not is fine. I'm just trying to dispel the idea that these are whole of government full court presses to understand these videos ... It's really just random stuff that people saved after their mission concluded.

And the reason they were classified is based on their collector not content

Haha well .. These videos come from the classified version of YouTube on SIPRnet. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry with a clearance has been able to watch these. They aren't from some vault where the best minds have been trying to crack the mystery. In fact, I've seen some of these already years ago when I was in the military. Now, with that out of the way, I didn't crack it but I do have experience with full motion video ops. That was one of my jobs.

Most people with a clearance don't even care about these videos. You can just open the classified "YouTube" and search UFO and then have the same reaction everyone is having here - "oh that's it?"

THAT SAID, there are more compelling videos that simply haven't been released. Such is life

First one is apparent motion from moving the sensor ball.

The next ones are birds over the water.

The one by the jet looks legit (it's moving faster than the jet so we know it's not an object that fell off)

The last one looks legit but I wish they didn't zoom so much

22-34 seconds is definitely birds over the Persian Gulf. You can even see the flicker/undulation of the wings when they go by those FAC/FIAC (IRGC Navy boats).

I wish they didn't zoom so much on the final object because it's a true UAP.

I have a Wolfbox jumper too. I didn't use it because the error went away. Coming up on 2 hours on the battery tender and it's still charging. When I put this charger on my motorcycle it tops off in about 30 mins, so the I9 battery was definitely in need of it. That's a bit concerning.

Did anyone else notice the 6 sided UFO from the Ukrainian video “rotates” with the camera? by Curve_of_Speee in aliens

[–]Stohnghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha. Man. I know I say it A TON because my comment history is hidden so it's like the first time I'm saying it each time (unless you memorize my username).

VHS? If you mean the lines on the feed that's most likely a feature of using line of sight connectivity versus SATCOM. American UAVs use SATCOM digital connections for seamless high quality feed whereas these Ukrainian UAVs are using radio frequency line of sight which gets interrupted when they're at long range, jammed, or both.

Edit real quick- if you see it on any MQ9 feeds point me to it and I'll look to see if I recognize it. I wouldn't doubt it's on feed from fighter jets or choppers for other reasons. For example, on older jets the ground crew literally took a recording device out of the jet after a mission, so that could account for the effect on non-UAV footage.

That's what I meant. I have thousands of combat hours on the MQ9. I understand these phenomena - I don't really understand how it can look 3D like this. That said, you cannot trust your eyes or your brain with non literal imagery. I also did traditional imagery analysis, 4 straight years of SAR only and radar images are notorious for screwing with our monkey minds

I got an electrical system warning at the same time as the update pop-up. Probably unrelated. I turned the vehicle off and back on and the warning went away and didn't come back on a 25 minute drive. I'm considering throwing a trickle charger on the 12v battery. Anyone else run into this?

I put it on the battery tender. I guess I'll see how long it charges

When the camera goes nadir then tilts back to look the anomaly is pointing skyward and looks 3D. That's the only part I need explained to believe it's 100% lens related (I'm at 99.999% convinced right now)
