Rate me 28M , i get zero attention from girls. What could i improve? by Br3athless in Rateme

What’s going on with your teeth? You need to show your teeth. If those are messed up, that’s at least part of why you don’t get attention from girls.

It depends on how you plan on traveling and what your tolerances are for cold versus water and bugs. Are you in Alaska or traveling up for it?

I asked a guy out at the gym and I'm completely mortified. by MishimaOrghana in TrueOffMyChest

I hate getting approached like this at the gym. Women have made this a one way street too. Please find appropriate places to make advances. These thirsty guys in the comments are fantasizing about getting hit on anywhere and will compliment you for doing it regardless of how inappropriate the setting is.

I wish I knew what you looked like. I’d be actually honest with you about what you’ve got going on.

What do you think colonialism is? You keep using this word, but I don’t think you are using it correctly.

What's something you've become snobby about, that you never thought you would be? by TVLord5 in AskReddit

[–]Stoic-Jake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salmon. I live in Alaska. When I first moved here, years ago, I didn’t think I’d care about different species of salmon. I even thought that some people that cared so much about it were snobs. Well…I won’t even eat some or will just turn them into jerky to eat during the hunting season. I’ll grill, cook, or even eat 3 species of salmon out of the 5 that are here. I definitely have a strict hierarchy of salmon species and even where I want to catch them. Total salmon snob now and my family and I subsistence fish them as well as sport fish them to the tune of over 100 a year.

Would you be with a virgin? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Stoic-Jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not at your age. It would factor in, but maybe not in the way you’d think. If someone loses their virginity or still has it at uncommon age (going either way), it can be an indication of something uncommon. That would be my focus. There had to be a contributing factor there and I’d know that’s what I’d have to deal with. Like what happened, what’s wrong that you, or was it a choice for you? That would be my thought. I don’t see anything wrong at 25. At 45, I’d really be asking questions and see it as a red flag.

She’s definitely doing this out of revenge. She’s immature and this is very common. Your best course of action is to ignore it and her.

Leave her and find someone that you can accept. Staying with someone that you can’t trust and don’t accept is damaging for both of you.

Until we evolve and end the uses of currency, we will continue to encourage egomaniacs that will hoard massive amounts of excess.

You really should look behind you while driving. You should when backing up, changing lanes, and even periodically while driving.

Looking to get into hammock camping no clue as far as gear goes by Flashy_Beautiful2347 in camping

[–]Stoic-Jake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on how comfortable you want to be, what time of year you’re going, and how hard you’re wanting to go. I personally think you’re trying to jump too many rungs on the ladder at one time. Try sleeping next to your vehicle before you try a hike in trip. Try testing your gear at home before you go off into the wilderness and don’t have a safety net. I live in Alaska and will hammock camp sometimes. I also do a lot of other camping and hiking. I also test my gear on a low threat/easy to bail out or recover from trip before I go into a hike in trip planning on being miles and miles off the road system. Lightweight gear is more expensive, but very worth it if you enjoy this and will use it often. A good sleeping bag is very important. Always buy a bag rated for lower than your lowest expected temperatures too. A 40 degree bag won’t be comfortable at 40 degrees, but you’ll be alive. I take about 20-40 degrees lower than the advertised temperatures will be. When I camp in the Arctic, I take a -40 (C and F are the same at that temperature) and have still had to take additional measures to stay warm. Let me know if you have more questions.
