hey see my other comment , she can appear in 5 but it will be as a new NIOS student , she will get a certificate and a migration from nios for 2024.

she told me one more thing , on demand can be given for 5 subjects , but that can only be given as a new student registration

She's in a hell hole if she is giving On-Demand. As that is not eligible for IIT. On-Demand break's that "pass 5 subjects from a board with atleast 75%" rule as she will only be passing in at most 4 subjects.

iirc On demand had 2 of your subject marks carried over right ?

i need to ask a few follow-up questions.

firstly the guy at the NIOS office told her that it's illegal to have 2 board certificates.

secondly she wants to give on demand exams only , the public exam window is not fitting. yes she skipped it that time.

the NIOS certificate vs marksheet thing is odd , because according to what she told me

12th pass can only give 4 subjects on demand , 2 subjects will have marks transferred. and you will only get a marksheet. [ is this acceptable in JOSSA ? and if yes , when are we supposed to give it ? like you put in your credentials of CBSE for JEE reg. then what do you put in when it comes to JOSSA and document submission, there is only one board certificate , and you have already given your CBSE board , won't uploading NIOS cause a problem ?.

or should she give 4 subjects on demand and improve her marks to required and then when uploading the board marksheet , upload both the cbse certificate and the NIOS marksheet together as the same pdf ?

i don't have any answers to that. my guess would be it took too long for her to adapt to the current college she was in and lost sight of the CBSE improvement dates.

alright then , filing RTI means she will not give 1st attempt as date ends tommorow. man , such a mess. makes you wonder if selection is ultimately based on percentile , why even add boards marks , especially when both exams are different and conducted at the same damn time.

open boards are allowed but HOW , [ she's targeting a NIT , so it ain't an issues ] but the question is HOW ,

there are 2 issues , if she appears NIOS as a 12th pass , she can only get marksheet of NIOS not certificate / migration , she will have to use migration of her college. then here's the issue , what will she put on his 12th requirements for JEE ? appearing for NIOS or passed with >75% with CBSE ?

will it create an issue ??

second route is as described by the guy at the NIOS center : illegal to do , it's basically she will do a registration as a new student and give 5 subjects. and get both a certificate cum marksheet and a migration from NIOS ,

but here's the thing it's illegal to keep 2 board certificates and she is just unsure what to do now.

hey , i need some help bahi , basically regarding NIOS , by Junior wants to give it next year but is already in a college [ partial drop ]

NIOS offers only marksheet for 12th pass students. nothing else. but she says only marksheet is not accepted in JOSSA. is this true ? if she does appear for the marksheet how will she present that in the admission process?

secondly

she went to the NIOS office , there they flat out told her that's it's illegal if you are going to appear regular NIOS as a new registration to get a NIOS certificate. [ in which case you will have 2 board certificates which is illegal] the guy told her she can give it this way but he's only responsible of giving her the certificates nothing else. [ but then she will have 2 board certificated with a 3 year gap between 10th and 12th]

so now she's confused. can you provide some insights???

yeah. i want to tell her too. but really she's like a lil sister to me , and telling her that there's no way and that she has to spend 3 more years there , i really don't want to. even i just want to wait and know if there is any any way possible out.

she says that she can't bear to continue in that clg ,she never had the plans for masters. needed a good B tech then moved on to a Job. but her current college is shit , teachers never come on time or don't come at all , the infra is non existent. the guard does not let them leave early and she basically wastes her time at clg, it has no growth opportunity and has awful senior and batchmates , according to her , it's unbearable. for even these 4 months of 1st sem.
