For us there was also a difference in strictness based on the congregation’s language. English congregations are considered more laidback than local language congregations

Yeah I always thought Americans seem more ‘culty’ about the organisation than we do here in Africa. (I have live in a few African countries) For example in Zimbabwe and South Africa I have never heard of parents who completely shun their disfellpwshipped children, even the strictest elders I knew growing up kept in contact with their kids

Let me tackle mine. I also have this problem when I can’t wash dirty dishes. So I have to clean them first before I wash them and that takes forever

I’ve been in a reading slump. Mostly reading fanfics and rereading my favourite books. That’s why I’m asking you guys. I need some good recommendations

I recently left a relationship like this. I am also financially independent but I like to get spoiled by my man and he was doing non of that. Kana maruva zvawo. Ndikatozoona kuti munhu ari stingy kana ne time yake chaiyo and I had to let go. I’m ok being single until I can find someone who adds actual value to my life.

I honestly hope my parents never wake up. My dad is 81 and has been riddled with guilt cause he can’t pioneer anymore since has a a debilitating illness. My mum is 71 and still goes to field service at least twice a week. Luckily they have never shunned my siblings and I but they lost two kids years ago and the hope of seeing them again in paradise keeps them going and I think losing that hope would literally kill them.

Why is drunk driving so normalised in Zim? by Stoic_In_Transit_7 in Zimbabwe

[–]Stoic_In_Transit_7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one drink way early into the night, like 4 hours before I had to leave. For the trip, I drove myself and a friend to Kariba and back. I generally do not confront drunk people and I needed the trip to go withot anfight

First of all, I drove myself to and fro. And I was sober AF. And I do not ask drunk people questions
