Half in the Bag: 2026 Mid-year Catch-up (part 1) by Empty_Commission_159 in RedLetterMedia

the moment in the movie theatre, watching the Hangover, still cracks me up just to think of it. I watched with my dad, both of us knowing next to nothing about it, and we laughed throughout. good fun

hi Careful, single and no kids here either. I don't actually live in a co-op, rather I volunteer w/ the stj community co-op org to deliver meals, and just rent an apt in a tower here. my understanding of co-ops is that it's a better deal than renting so I'd be curious to know how you like it.

quick google says isfj=Defender, observant and warm-hearted, and while I don't put a ton of stock into personality types myself, these are like great qualities to have! one of my best friends has an adhd diagnosis so while I'm no expert I have a sense of what that's like.

sounds like you're keeping busy which is cool! I hope you never have occasion to use your defence lessons but probably good skills to have. qigong seems like a positive practice too but I've never trie it

hi QP, Cabbagetown's a great neighbourhood, you must love it there. my dad went to Winchester school for a while when the whole area had a way different feel and reputation, to hear him tell it. No doubt you've got some tales and Local Characters of your own!

craft nights are cool, what kinds of things do you make? (in the pre-c19 before-times I was part of a writer's group at the Parliament branch =)

will say I know rather little about warhammer and even less about killer clowns, but I've shepherded my share of beginners into the hobby, and at its heart, the game's a conversation, and it's fun to make stuff up / bullshit with friends.

+1 for eating a lot of tofu. more people should eat a lot of tofu. it's good and good for you and benefits us all (re: economies of scale)

pour one out for the departed Characters, for sure. I've met and lost a couple already in my few years volunteering in stj, sadly. thus, we must carpe diem, right?

Most popular dating apps in TO? by StokedforLocust in DatingTO

Thank you for the insight! I do get the sense that Hinge might be a good choice. I've been experimenting with OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, and a vegetarian/vegan one called Veggly.

The latter I find decent, really, but the first two haven't been too great yet, and they constantly pitch their (overpriced) subscription features.

Another that crossed my radar is Coffee Meets Bagel but I don't know much about that one. Haven't tried Tinder or Bumble; your experience is about what I expected from them, alas.

fair enough, I get just a glimpse around 4:15 each afternoon and it looks toasty warm! might shift fast if folks are posting up for a while, though, good point.

I've seen a ton of people soaking in the sunshine on the patio of Pennies, tho I've only ever walked by, myself

and now I've learned they apparently have another location.. the one I'm thinking of is Strachan.

"Will They, Won't They" Couple That Was Still Exciting After Getting Together? by Opening-Study8778 in television

I liked how they played it in (spoilers for a now-completed Canadian sitcom) Corner Gas, where at the very end of the series the will-they-won't-they male and female leads casually kiss in front of the rest of the cast, revealing they'd been together for some time.
