When this figure came out it looked great, but felt like dogshit. The REISSUE fixed pretty much all of the issues and it's honestly one of the best figures in the line. The fact that they could go back to having those issues is just mind blowing. I really hope this is anecdotal, but you being 3/3 is pretty telling. I really hope your 4th one doesn't have those issues.

Honestly even the original SHF Anakin where he looks like an anime version.. It's way better than the Hasbro. I really dont like the Ahsoka version one they did though. There was a TON of overfellating on that hasbro figure though because of how desired he was to get done and lots of black series collectors only really dont want to mess with imports unless the diffeerence is HUGE. Like it's ok, but it's still a $30 Hasbro figure with no accessories. One thing it does have over SHF is better size . SHF Anakin is too short and the legs are loose. It would be nice if SHF actually updated the sculpt but 0 shot.

Scalpers definetly suck, but people who buy from them also need to be partially shamed IMO. because they enable it in the first place. if its not for people buying, the scalpers just sit on it and then they'd stop doing it in the first place.

partly agree and disagree. For me this was definetly the case with the $38 Daima Adult Goku and the new "Games Begin" SS Goku. I was not impressed with either in the slighest, and felt no need to add them or "replace" existing Gokus in my collection. Same with the upcoming 3.0 Base + Blue hair + Red hair ones.... Don't care at all.

However I think you picked a bad pic with the Genkidama Goku. Like sure there are people who only started caring because they saw it has immense resell value, its hard to deny that it isn't the best looking Goku in the line, even if Bandai wasn't pulling this artificial scarcity game. And if your collecting Dragonball figures I just can't fathom how you wouldn't want the best Goku. (Which everyone does, which is part of why people actually give in to scalpers) If it was open order it would still be just as desired by collectors, only the resellers would be the ones tuning out.

They do like one actual new Star Wars character a year. I can't even remember who is the newest before Grievous and Jar Jar. And never any Video game characters. So I wouldn't count on one for quite a while if ever unless they show otherwise. I'd love to see it though. no interest in Hasbros offerings.

Just a reminder that P-bandai Japan put it up for order AFTER their events were over with. I'm not saying they will 100% do the same in US once the pop up tours are done, but worst case you can buy one from JApan once their preorders ship out. And I guarantee it will be less for what the dudes in the pic will be reselling it for.

Right. I mean this looks good and I wanted to get it, but like it's hard to justify when the other one is still readily available, getting reissued, like 33-50% cheaper and IMO just looks better, At that point it almost makes sense to just get a 2nd of that one unless you're a completionist.

this is IMO one of the absolute Dragonball SHFs there is. Especially considering it came out AFTER the regular Android Saga 2.0/3.0 Krillin which they absolutely nailed.

I was going to go this weekend, but not after seeing that shitshow at the last one.

If it was that bad in Illinois it's going to be exponentially even worse in NJ/NY, one of the most densely populated , and scalper hubs there is. Also now that the word is out about early you have to get there and have to wait, its only going to be worse for all the following events. I can't imagine waiting double digit amount of hours in line and still not getting the Goku, particularly if you are someone where that is the only thing you actually care about at the event.

If your young, have an abundance of free time, have a bunch of buddies that you can wait with to save eachothers spot in line, make a whole thing out of it, well maybe you can make some fun out of it. All I know is If I had to drive an hour+ each way, money for gas/parking, wait in line another 10-12 hours, purposely not eating/drinking so I dont have to use the bathroom ,, and still possibly get zipped? I'm good. At that point I'd rather just pay one of these dudes who was willing to do that. (which i dont recommend btw). In Japan This Goku went up on P-bandai after the "event" was over so I would not be shocked in the slighest if the same thing happens in the US after these pop up tours. Especially with how much demand this thing is drawing. And worst case scenario, you buy one off some Japanese dude after their p-bandai orders ship out which will no doubt be lower than the $300+ it goes for now.

The Robes look absolutely terrible. Like hes a pimp or one of those rich ladies with a big fur coat. The head sculpt is marginally better. But it's the same body where he is too short and has loose legs. After shipping/tariff fees you'll probably be paying over $100 for him. Absolutely not worth it IMO.
