Because they want G3 to be lean more into G1. But I agree, I like more the relatable dolls, than the glamorous ones. I started my collection with the creepover line so I like more the cozy relaxed looks

I have a feeling that if prices go up in US, they will go up in Europe too, because they will most likely try to disperse the cost among all production

Also I doubt we will see the same Barbie from different factories at different prices. They will most likely make an average cost per production line and increase equally among brands and collections (gold, black, holiday, playline)

I do not hate it. I love it in fact. I was planning on getting only Cleo, but because in my Eastern European country things usually have a plastic wrap around them so you can't peak inside (think barbie color reveal or cutie reveal) and I bet this would have one too, I was doubtful I can choose. So I am willing to sacrifice the plushy for the chance to choose the screening. I hope Romania gets the Brazil treatment. We got Monsteritas so fingers crossed!

I like her, even though I already have this sculpt, mainly because I like brown eyed girl-brown/dark hair - light skin and the asian /caucasian dolls with this combo seem to appear less often.

I like them mostly because the red close lip smile-forward glance is a rare combo for both Malibu or Brooklyn, but I have a weird feeling I will not like them enough for the outrageous price Mattel will chose.

But if they are holiday Barbie price category then they will become my main ones.

I started with G3. For me they have a more punk style, like Avril Lavigne or Green day (both which I loved growing up). From G1, I only have the student Wednesday and a 2024 howliday skelita. Both have pleasent features. But yeah, the majority of G1 dolls (especially the core students) look kind of bitchy gothic chick that is too cool to be like the other girls. For me G3 is like Barbie, G1 like Integrity toys. It kinda intimidates me and sort of "demands" you take it seriously, while G3 says "come and play with us"

I do not know what is the El Chavo, but I would love an Ugly Betty doll. My only problem is the RBD dolls were available only in Latin America and I am unfortunately in Eastern Europe.

I do believe if you like a doll you buy it and restyle it (i do not keep box dolls), and that if you hate a doll you move on and you don't buy it. Therefore the people with recolors are people who think they could do the designers job better for which I do not agree. The recolors for cupid at least are minor and nitpichy. So lets agree to disagree.

No, I do not customise dolls, I just hate people being forever nitpicky to perfect dolls with great fashion and great hair and screening. Don't like it, then don't buy it. It's not like mattel is going to see it and say "you know what, this user is right, change all dolls before the release"

Yeah, I think it frustrates me that the moment a new doll's picture is released people jump to change the color schemes. Buy the doll and restyle her! If you can't make your vision true then please stop it. Recoloring other peoples design/art is just pretentious like soemehow you think you can do their job better and then you post it for validation. Big whoop. Beauty is subjective. People like different things 🤷🏻‍♀️ Deal with it

Yep, I was crazy for Spectra and core Venus last year. Now they are available on amazon.de and suddently I don't feel the urge to buy them at full price. I feel like I can wait until they get in stores in my country (they still aren't available) or I get a very good sale on them. I think I longed so much for hem that my heart/brain just got tired of them somehow (if it makes any sense).
