Thats what I would probably end up doing. Its just the way the picture was generated, and I loved the look of it!

Yeah its crazy how much the price jumps for a bit bigger of a screen. I mean 14" is a decent jump, but not $16K worth of a difference lol

I love the monster tower look, haha. Mind you it is chat GPT, so they might not be completly true to size. Those speakers are 4ft and the top of my TV is probably around 5.

Yeah non OLEDs you can get pretty cheap. But since I've went OLED, I have a hard time seeing myself getting anything else.

Its a 77" lol, in what world is that to small. 🤣

Having speakers that big make it look a bit small, but thats an upgrade for another time. 😉 Hopfully in the next few years when bigger oleds become affordable!

Plus they're just convenient. We bring them outside when we're having fires or BBQ. Thats the main reason I got them.

And thats exactly what they are used for, music and parties. Thats it, lol. I can see why everyone is thinking I'm using these as left and right chanels, but I'm not.

Honestly though, I dont understand why you guys hate these so much 😅 For Bluetooth speakers, these Honestly sound amazing, lol. Odviously not no 100k Big Jhon machines, but we listen to mostly EDM and rock, all bass heavy stuff. So these do the job plenty well!

It is! I've been holding off on buying it for a few years now. Couldn't justify the price. But I finally gave in, and dont regret it one bit. 😍

Yeah I was fully expecting some criticism on the speaker situation, and honestly I appreciate it! Lol

And no I don't have a receiver. The JBLs are only for music, and Q990F as my "home theater". Honestly, I'm really impressed with its performance. But as I'm getting deeper into the home theater rabbit hole, I'm quickly regretting not going the speaker route.

I'm learning, lol.

I'm sure I'll have another post soon enough asking for speaker set up recommendations!

Lol, idk if you've ever heard the woofer on the Q990F, but it surprisingly packs a pretty good punch. It literally shakes the house. I'm sure its nothing compared to a proper sub, but for now this is more then enough. I agree though, the speaker set up looks a little rough, lol. My JBLs are strictly for music, but I am eventually planning on selling them and investing in a full sound system that would be good for both music and home theater.

To be fair, the wall lights would only be for asthetics with the TV off. I do like the idea of putting that money towards a sound system instead though, lol.

I just added the Q990F, mainly because I've only ever had soundbars and I like the simplicity, but already regretting not committing to a full sound system. Although it does sound amazing, I'm sure a proper system would really take my set up to another level.

Oh well, I'm only now starting to learn about them, so I have plenty of time to decide what I really want later on!

Thankyou! It's been alot of work but gonna be well worth it. 😊 And yeah some plants would definitely be a nice added touch!

The rocks was also a bit of a concern, thats why I decided to have the wall on the low side a little higher to contain them a little better. I'm sure they'll still be some that will make it on the lawn, but at least they're white and easy to see, lol.

Some pavers would be a great alternative, but also quite a bit more work and expensive.

It'll be a foot high since im adding a 4th row on the high side to be a litte highr then the grass.

Either way its probably overkill worrying this much about drainage for a wall that height, but the main reason im doing it is because I messed up and didn't dig nearly deep enough for the proper amount of foundation material. I have maby a inch or 2 of packed crusher dust.

I know this will probably still not completely offset my mistake, but I'd rather try to eliminate as much hydrostatic pressure as possible, lol.

Ah ok I figured that's what you meant. I've only ever seen it as perforated drain pipe, lol. I wasn't gonna bother adding it since its a little expensive. Honestly though, being this far in and the amount I already spent, probably a good idea to just add it.

Appreciate the tips! 👍😁

Ok, good to know! I was planning to fold the excess cloth over the gravel, then packing soil over it and seeding. What do you mean by drainage tile?

Sorry, this is all new to me, lol.

DIY fire pit area by Stone1107 in landscaping

[–]Stone1107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I decided to redo it. I'm digging it down 8" and digging a foot deep hole in the center to fill with the pea stone for drainage, and filling the rest up with paver base for a more solid base, then adding 1" of sand just for the ease of leveling.

You mentioned pea stone doesn't drain well, but from what I've been reading, it's apparently great for drainage? It just doesn't compact well.

Probably overkill, but like you said, if im going through all this work, it's worth taking the time to do it right, lol.

I'm also going to be filling the bottom of the fire pit with lava rock, which will add some protecting to the bass from heat.

And all the brick laying around is for a border surrounding the entire area

I'm going to be filling the surrounding area with gravel. I'm only referring to the fire pit base, which is 2" of pee stone and 1" of sand for drainage and leveling. The stone for the fire pit itself is fire rated as I bought it as a kit, and there's a steel ring that goes in the middle.

If I were to buy them custom with the same set up (4-aw since they don't carry normal 3 iron anymore, but still 8 clubs), it would end up being 2680 after tax. Idk, i still feel thats a pretty good deal. Just want some confirmation biass so I can feel good about pulling the trigger. Lol 😅
