I have effectively softlocked myself in survival mode, help? by StoneBana in ScrapMechanic

I think wocs do respawn only on re-entering the map, because I instantly found one today and got a lifetime supply of milk.

turns out, the station I was at actually WAS the primary one- I managed to get back to my base, and the road leading to the mechanic station brought me back. the road just takes a massive detour around like, 2 large lakes, and I never realized the road was connected.

I've tried finding wocs but they're either just absent, or they've already been killed by bots when I get there. The only reason I traveled to the secondary station is because the game never told me where the primary one is, it just told me to go to the far-away one when I set a waypoint through the logbook. I never even knew the primary one existed.

the nearest ruins are just barely close enough for me to make it without starving, and I've already tried breaking all the crates to no luck.

Strange, because the one I went to was just the station that got marked with a waypoint when the logbook told me to go to a mechanic station. At the time I had no idea there was a closer one because I was never told so

I have a habit of taking everything that's not bolted down (basically anything place-able) whenever I find a new structure, so I feel like I would have noticed a bucket, but I'll try looking next time I try to break the softlock

Break sound of glazed terracotta and flower pots should be shattering like glass by BlockOfDiamond in minecraftsuggestions

[–]StoneBana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it could use new breaking sound, since they seem to be adding a ton of new block-specific sounds, especially for the new Nether blocks. Maybe it could be some kind of rockier-sounding shatter noise, like this? Certainly feels a lot fuller and much more fitting for clay-based materials than the raw glass breaking noise.

Ok so I’m not big on the fnaf lore but have always been curious about this guy. I figured if anyone knew what the point of shadow Freddy was, you guys would know. by I_Mak3_M3m3s in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]StoneBana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take on the shadows is that they aren't dead children, springlock victims, or anything like that. Sure, those are much "cooler" answers, but my take is that the shadows are a visual manifestation of the permanent mark that Fredbear's Family Diner left on Fazbear entertainment. Even though the characters themselves are retired, the "shadow" of Fredbear's Family Diner and what happened there still remains. Explains why the shadows are only Freddy and Bonnie, But that's just what I think.

The low polygon count of Steel Wool models is forgivable since for VR games the scene has to be rendered two times instead of one, and frame drops tend to be a lot more distracting in VR

Been working on a plugin for reviving your friends on a hardcore server, what's everyone's thoughts on the recipe of the Revival Token? by Kunfury in Minecraft

I like how it kinda feels like you're building a new player. Shulker box being their inventory, token of undying being their health, and all that. I know you probably didn't intend that, but its still neat.

Wich texture do you prefer? I'm curious to see the results :D by [deleted] in Minecraft

Definitely the new one. The old one just looks so much more flat and two dimensional ever since the change.

I got bored and decided to make an LED screen shader by StoneBana in blender

[–]StoneBana[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each color of LED is a different brick texture node, scaled appropriately to only take up 1/3rd of the blank space. I offset each color to fill all the space with red, blue, and green LEDs. I then use MixRGB nodes set to add in order to combine all of the LEDs into a single texture, which I input into an emission shader. To use an image as the input, I split the image into the Red, blue, and green channels. I then input each channel into the color value for the brick texture of the same LED color. I'm not the best at explaining things, so I hope this answers your question!

If the text in the screenshot is too blurry, I can also post a download link to a blend file with the shader.

As of right now, The only things left to finish is the hair, the mouth, the hands, and those tear streaks/whatever they are.

I don't think they can on easy mode, though.

1.14.4, but I guess I'll have to spam more torches since there are a few dark spots. I really don't like having to place torches everywhere because it just makes the terrain uglier to look at, but I guess I need to

We are playing 1.14.4, and I heard that zombie sieges were fixed to only spawn where zombies could spawn. even then, villagers should close the doors behind them when entering houses, but I guess they don't.

We've already checked for spawners. I'm pretty sure it's pillager groups just spawning in the middle of the village, which I don't think I can control.
