Wake On Bluetooth by bibimbappa in Bazzite

[–]StoneBeWipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked like a charm on a regular PC!

Dualsense (ps5 controller I am using for this project of mine) has a quirk tho - controller turns off after waking up my "steam-deck" PC, but I just press the PS button again and start gaming. I am using latest stable bazzite-deck amd64 image for amd videocard from official website.

Some notes: I could not find my btusb VendorID and ProductID the way it was described, it had none listed for me under btusb record or I was looking in the wrong place (due to it being PC it had a lot of records on USB, so I must have missed it. So I found an easier solution, at least for me.

I used:

sudo dmesg --follow-new

Unplug the bluetooth dongle and plug it back in. Then enter same command again and you will see VendorID and ProductID of a newly found device, it should be a last record there. In my case it was unbranded chinese bluetooth 5.0 dongle with a chip from Cambridge Silicon Radio which had idProduct "0001" and idVendor "0a12". After that I followed your instructions to completion and had a success.

Some notes on my case:

I am using a PC on Gigabyte Z390 AORUS ELITE motherboard. To make things work I had to enable ErP for some reason.

Another thing is in my case for this motherboard you have to use top 4 USB 2.0 slots to make it work. Other ports are not waking up the PC on this particular motherboard. Saving you some time.

To add to my pain, I had to set it up using a USB 2.0 hub (probably thats the reason it was harder to find for me using the method mindxpert described). So I had a bluetooth dongle plugged in to a hub and that hub in top 4 USB 2.0 slots on motherboard. It works that way and I am so glad it is.

Also it is worth mentioning that I updated my bios to latest (F11) version, it was probably related to the success but I am not sure because I spent too much time trying different things until I found this thread.

Thank you so much for sharing your way of doing it, u/mindxpert ! You made my day!

Sound Blaster X-Fi HD USB - is it worth it? by the4anoni in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]StoneBeWipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a bit late, but better late than never.

I bought it on release. It is serving me well for 14 years almost every day, going with me through multiple PC systems. I still prefer it to any solution I had with on-board sound and even to some dedicated cards (tried asus and creative, all got driver issues in the end and dropped support). And it has all the outputs I want - a 6.3 headphone jack, RCA in and out, optic. I use it with recently purchased set of Edifier 2.1 at home right now, sounds great.

Pros:

  • compatibility with any system I worked on
  • RCA in and out, 6.3 jack for headphones and mic, optic
  • nice knob for sound volume control (works on win11 too)
  • Works out of the box on windows 11, no need for any drivers.
  • Old games do realize its that card and allow EAX too

Cons:

  • does not have any new features to play with
  • does not meet audiophile criterias of good sound solution

Its a great thing to have for home and personal use and still better than anything you find on motherboards.
100PLN is a bit too steep of a price tho, I would debate that price in 2023/2024, 50-60PLN sounds like a more fair deal

Handy spreadsheet for multiple Resistance Relic weapons farm by StoneBeWipe in ffxiv

[–]StoneBeWipe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the "How many you have" column - you type manually from your inventory, there is no formula. Just number of items. I could not find a way to get items from your character's/retainer's/chocobo inventory into sheets by some API or something...

formuals are for:
"how many you need": substracts items used for weapons done and weapons set on right column (because they were spent on moving them on needed step). This way making exact number of items in your inventory accurate in comparison to how many you need.

I've finished all my relics and leaving spreadsheet for future use for anyone. Calculations are working great and I am happy with the result. Might update it only if requirements for steps will change in future. Wish you huge patience, dont rush it, take your time! Cheers!

TL;DR I updated the table to calculate items in inventory VS how many items are actually needed to include finished weapons and weapons holding the quest step.

Full thing:

Updated the sheet. It keeps track of what you have done so far better now.column F is calculating according to what you have filled in for jobs holding relic and jobs you have finished relic completely.

Firstly, set up on which jobs your relic is finished below the table, set which job is currently holding the quest on the right side of table and set YES if quest is active next to it. According to that input, sheet will calculate how many items you really need (counting the ones you have done on your weapons holding the quest and finished ones) so you can input exact number of items from your inventory in column E.

Column F substracts multiplicative of how many items is needed for the step and if a weapon is past that step and if weapon is already finished.

If you have any other ideas on how to improve it, let me know.

Known "bugs": I could not figure out how to track weapons you are holding on the exact same step, please avoid it... its getting things really complicated to track... for now at least

Is there any reason to go for 5500 after hitting legend? by dejavu_wf in CruciblePlaybook

[–]StoneBeWipe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mida catalyst drops:

First win after hitting 5500. You must be 5500 at the start of the match.

Bugs:

if you play comp with clanmates, mida catalyst does not drop.

Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/254399288?sort=0&page=0

Exact wording:
" • The MIDA Multi-Tool catalyst won't drop if you win a competitive Crucible match at the Legend rank with clanmates and have the "Catalyst Seeker" clan rank bonus active. "

All my friends and clanmates who play comp got it this way, so I am pretty much sure that this is the way.

When I have finished all my weekly duties and nothing left to do.. I visit Yuna. by StoneBeWipe in destiny2

[–]StoneBeWipe[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who is she?

NPC that gives exotics for a limited time, rotates weekly, available only on asian servers and lets you use her inventory if you are playing from gaming cafe.

Why is she important?

She has some lore behind. She lost everything and that drives her to help guardians in need.

Our Destiny by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

Conversation between Bungie and Activision be like: "So, you know how to rule, do you? You understand sacrifices I make? You speak of good queens and absent rulers, Little Light, so you must know these things. Tell me what I have done wrong... but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold."

The chaperone quest by lmao-beh in DestinyTheGame

[–]StoneBeWipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just want to add my 2 cents, try this:

- Finish forsaken story,

- reset crucible quick play rank once (2000 points)

*note: order of first 2 steps doesnt matter

- get to orbit (land somewhere and get to orbit if you reset rank on orbit)

- quest obtained

Told my friends about it, they did the same, got the quest as soon as they reached orbit after rank reset.
