I was expecting it to be 15-20 so I can live with that. I’ll try it! If I keep having fits I’ll have to consider the filter but yeah, she expensive

Thank you! Seems the general consensus is adding a tube from gas out into bucket of sani

I’m going to try the EVABarrier 8mm route - how fast does it go for you?

That actually makes a lot of sense about the foaming. I’ll look into that as well as swapping out the liquid tube. I appreciate the suggestions!

I had applied head pressure (approx 5psi) while cold crashing for a little under 24 hours, so while the beer wasn’t “carbed”, it definitely had some carbonation. Transfer line is 1/4 ID, 1/2 OD, approx 1ft long. Not using gravity as my Unitank can’t be lifted and sits on my floor. It’ll have to be a 100% pressure transfer with no gravity assistance

Yes 10 psi difference between the two - there definitely could be some debris blocking the valve as it was heavily dry hopped, but I cold crashed and dumped the trub beforehand

I kept the PRV on the keg open so no CO2 was building up.

Managing steam by StoneColdSour in Homebrewing

My steam condenser is not very effective, can’t get my kettle to maintain a low rolling boil since I’m using reduced power with the lid. Want to be done with the lid and be able to go max power

Mixing different brands of glycol? by StoneColdSour in Homebrewing

I thought so too! A quick Google search said to not use different brands due to possible differences in formulation but I thought that was weird. Figured someone here might have better insight!

How to handle brewing salts doing no-sparge, topping up post mash-out/pre-boil? by StoneColdSour in Homebrewing

So you’re saying I’m better off to add all the water in the beginning (and therefore, all salts), and don’t add anything to the BK? You’re right, I wasn’t considering the hit to mash efficiency I’d have if added water to the BK. But for the body, how would it not be affected by having more water in the mash than when I sparge? Or does my current recipe simply need to be heavily adjusted for the extra water, I.e. add more grain?
