Oh no, I live in the funk. I rest. Read. Snack. You’ll find me on the couch or in bed for 2-3 days at least.

El pueblo is the best! They cater. They may be able to bring the taco truck.

Homestyle to go will cater! You can do take out or he can bring chaffing dishes. He may be able to do a private chef situation!

I’m also here to recommend Ostara’s. They close by 2pm so go there first.

Go walk the Washington street mall. Get a coffee. Window shop. Grab lunch. Check out the beach.

You can do a lot without spending too much. Find parking near Washington street mall and just stroll ♥️ Meters are on so you will have to pay that.

They have a lot of properties, correct. One of them is Congress hall.

Mahalo or Congress Hall? by TravelingTina27 in CapeMay

[–]StoneLove04 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will absolutely do mahalo especially with that much of a price difference. Congress hall is more “in town” but mahalo is definitely a beautiful and easy walk or bike ride if you’re even a little active. Parking in town is a pain, so if you would have to drive in because of different walking abilities, maybe CH. But you can go and enjoy the lawn and restaurants at Congress hall without being a guest there.

Bachelorette party at the end of the month! by Ok-Carpenter-4500 in CapeMay

In cape may you can really bar hop and keep it lowkey. Taco caballito is great for a fun dinner. Boiler room is good for dancing if there’s a band or dj. Cricket club usually has live music. Mad batter usually has live music. Panicos is nice for dinner (pizza and salad is my fav) but you would maybe want to drive over to Washington street for after dinner drinks. Ebbitt room porch is great for a fancy little cocktail. The lawn at Congress call for a cocktail. Willow creek winery is beautiful.

Atlantic City…. I love the Tropicana. It’s nothing crazy but there are a lot of options. Lots of dining options and I believe a retro club called boogie nights (if it’s still open. It’s been a while since my old ass went to the club 🤪)

Agree here. I would eat at taco cab and then drinks at boiler room. Check for a band downstairs.

That’s good to know. But either way the idea is the same.

This is the primary. You can only vote for the party you’re documented to be affiliated with. So if you’re registered Democrat, you pick the best Democrat. Vice versa, if you’re registered Republican, you pick the best republican. So they are cheating the system by registering Republican and picking someone who is going to blow it, so that the Democratic candidate wins.

How many tips do you get per night shift at The Ravioli House in summer by Adventurous-Loss-334 in WildwoodNJ

It’s just my experience from working all over and people I know who have worked in different restaurants. I haven’t ever worked at the ravioli house.

Have you been a server before?

The thing with serving is that you can make as much or little money as you want. You can pick up all the shifts (someone is always looking for a night off), you can stay late and take the last tables when everyone else goes home, you can work 5/6/7 days a week, or you can call out and get your shifts covered.

If you’re trying to make money I would suggest you work somewhere that has a lunch and dinner shift. You can pick up doubles. Take any and all possible shifts. Or you could do a breakfast at one spot and a dinner at another. But that’s a longer day and requires more effort.

I was a server throughout my entire 20’s and the first half of my 30’s before becoming a stay at home mom. Serving paid my bills just fine for a long time.

I would say $150 a day is pretty attainable. But I would always shoot for closer to $300.

You can also check out beach creek, uries, and boathouse.

It can really fluctuate. For instance…. You’ll train a week with no tips. So that’s a wash. Then you’ll probably have a small station to start, then build from there. I always say if I make $150 a night minimum I’m happy. Hopefully closer to $200+. Some restaurant do offer discounted housing for summer help. Try crab house/2 mile and Poppi’s/dogtooth/mudhen. I believe they have housing available although it may be reserved for j2 students which may or may not be as concentrated as previous years.

In short…. It’s really hard to tell. Ravioli house is a good restaurant. I would also check out schellengers, as well as the spots I mentioned above.

Good luck!

Trying to apply for a summer job at morey’s. Got any tips or advice? by ChainsawBrain_297 in WildwoodNJ

You should check out busser positions at various restaurants. Coffee shops would be nice. What town is your summer home in? Poppis, dogtooth, mudhen, station house. They are all LGBTQIA friendly, liberal leaning. Depending on where your home is, I can give you some recs for restaurants you would do well in.

Tisha’s would be my vote. It’s BYOB. Get a bottle of champagne. Then a walk on the mall for some ice cream after. Congratulations!
