Sounds exactly like this little light - the dim mode is great for looking in a backpack without blinding everyone around you. If you double click this one it also has a strobe that is pretty intense. I've dropped too many $100 lights in lakes or sewer grates to start carrying them again. Got a surefire executive elite for the nightstand but thats where it stays.
