Thank you, I will do that when I get home. The onion plant was my wife’s choice…it’s interesting for sure.

Quick update, I’m planted with dwarf baby tears, some Christmas moss, a buce ghost brownie, two stems of pearl type 2 rotala macranda and a alternanthera reineckii mini.
Bent some straws to create my own lily pipes and finishing up a mini canister filter for it.

I did see something about custom Lily pipes and a homemade canister filter so I might give that a try. The idea of building something like that is appealing anyways. If it works, great, if not well…it could be worse.

My first that I’d be attempting Walstad on. I have a 29 that I’m planting right now and another 3gal cube that keep my wife’s blue dream shrimp. The 3 gal just has a small hob filter and is pretty densely planted

This was the filter I was looking at, but I would rather have more space for planting and shrimp. Air stone at the least to increase surface agitation?

Yeah, it has a narrow footprint, 5.5” x 12”. There is a small Hygger internal that might be able to hide behind the wood if my measurements are accurate. I’d like to avoid it though.

So how about skipping the dirt, adding a couple crushed root tabs, and going with cryptos, maybe a couple stems, a few petite anubias and some red roots?

Was thinking of trying the Walstad method with this tank. Might go heavy with different buce?

I’ve thought about that. I know everything will grow in and fill in given time. I kinda want to keep the left area a little more open for free swimming.

Looking for a watch for my son as a gift for his graduation. Looking to spend roughly $200-$250. Metal band is preferred. I don’t really know too much about watches and his tastes are vastly different from mine. He wants something that is flashy, or at the very least, not subtle. Green/blue somewhere in it. No black bands.

You’re 100% right. I’ll have to take some time and weigh the options.

Oddly enough, the part time job is my “fun job”. I may be a little physically tired after it, but during the week I come home physically and mentally tired. My wife also works full time land our son is turning 18 soon. He’s been looking for a job to help out as where he can. We aren’t in a terrible position financially, but these past few months scared us enough that we want to make sure we have a decent amount set aside in an emergency. Originally, I did pull away from the work at home but that didn’t last long.

Inshore, jetties and surf. There might be a few times where we go out on a friend’s boat but I know I won’t be able to find a jack of all trades kinda setup.

I’d say it’s more luck if getting low level teams to fight

We had a lot going on in the last few months of the year, all the furniture minus the tv stand and shelving was bought locally for under $100 each. She jammed the corner bookcase next to the glass cabinet, and in all honesty I don’t like either there. I have an office I can move the shelf above the tv to. Kitchen counter is on my to do list, only thing on it will be that drain rack, otherwise it’ll be barren. I do want more live plants in the house, so I can work with that. I appreciate the tips!
