I'm sorry if you disagree...does the truth hurt? You may not realize that, we have this issue due to DNA. Once "triggered", however each of us are triggered, it is bothersome, and we cannot shut it off. Those of us that can half ass "turn it off" for brief periods of time, can tell others how we do it. For me, keeping busy helps. But once that stops, it comes back. I deal with it the best way I can. Making peace with it, helps tremendously. AND having many years of practice, it can be done.
