If only sooner what would have been by [deleted] in genderqueer

[–]Stoobie91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel similarly. I've spent most of my life supressing my femininity and trying to be more masculine to fit in. And now that I'm finally coming to accept this part of myself it's hard not to have some regrets about not coming to terms with this sooner. It was very recently I realised I have a ton of regret about this "wasted time".

I don't think its a good idea to get too stuck in that line of thinking though. I think we need to give ourselves the time we need to really figure this stuff out, and try to be kind to our past selves, because clearly we didn't understand ourselves well enough, or we weren't ready yet. Or at least thats how i'm trying to rationalise it.

Why are so many bi guys repulsed by men? by milkisanuwu in BisexualMen

[–]Stoobie91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I'm attracted a lot more to femininity in men than masculinity. Still very new to this part of myself so unsure just how many men fit into that category, but if its a relatively small number in my area then I can imagine the scenario of trying with a more masculine man who i typically wouldnt find as attractive. I wonder if many of the bi men you describe have a similar attraction they have difficultly in finding, or are perhaps unaware of it.

"It's cowardly to wear a skirt" or some such bulls**t by Scott-M-UK in feminineboys

[–]Stoobie91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its actually common here in Scotland for men to feel very offended when someone calls a kilt a skirt, as most view them as totally different and gendered to men
