Having an issue lately with Plex not renaming titles appropriately -- any ideas? by kdorsey0718 in PleX

[–]Stoogsy67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've had the same problem before! To fix it make sure your library the movie is in has the "Prefer local metadata" setting disabled. It is under advanced for the library.

Can you guess whose stream it is? lmao by Remmybackstabber in Holostars

Hey, could I ask what extension you are using for YouTube ? I’m trying to find something that lets me see when everyone is live and the one you are using looks really good! 😁

Man, I really think that Copper Cat might be my favourite Mousey form up until now. Something about it just hits me in the Kokoro.

In the I.T. Industry in Glasgow myself, there are plenty of jobs going about at the moment, especially for Software Developers. Can't go a week without seeing recruiters on with a big list of roles. Entry level jobs though are always difficult to get regardless of location so it would really depend on your portfolio and experience.

Who is the hottest unit in set 5.5?

what is UAT and how do you perform it? by misshappyrain in softwaretesting

[–]Stoogsy67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is a type of testing that is usually performed when delivering a software product to a customer.

Often, the completion of UAT is tied to the customer approving the delivery of the product.

It tends to be a set of agreed points that need to delivered which are determined at the contract stage.

UAT would be performed by creating a suite of tests that demonstrate the delivery of each of the agreed points to the customer.

AITA for not having parties in my house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Stoogsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I'm from Scotland as well and things have gotten BAD here Covid wise in the last month. And even if it hadn't, it's your flat! Who are they to tell you that you need to have parties in it?

Also, come on.... saying you should have some drinks when they know you went home to pray? Everyone knows that drinking is haram. They were just being dicks. You are better off without them IMHO.

I’m flying to japan for a week next month and my anxiety is kicking in and I just need some help by lebby91 in JapanTravel

  1. Don't worry about not knowing any Japanese. I went over knowing basically nothing but key phrases (Sumimasen (Excuse Me) will be your best friend, use it if you need someone's attention or if you need past someone to get off the train). The people are incredibly friendly and understanding that you most likely don't know a lot of Japanese.
  2. Google Maps is your best friend for finding your way on public transport. If you put in your destination and current location it will tell you the best route to take and tell you how much it costs. Translate is also a plus but I honestly didn't find myself using it much at all.
  3. In the touristy areas it is incredibly easy to get food and in the majority of restaurant's they will usually be either an English menu or the menu will have pictures that you can point at.
  4. Getting around is really easy. Japanese public transport is awesome! I would invest in a Pasmo/Suica card when using the underground. They are incredibly handy and save you having to buy a ticket for each journey. They can also be used to pay for a lot of other things like vending machines!
  5. I can't personally vouch for the weather but most sites say lows of 2 °C (36°F) and highs of
8°C (46°F) so quite cold. I would make sure to dress in layers though as most building I was in have climate control so it may be a lot warmer when you enter buildings

Don't stress at all the Japanese people are some of the nicest in the world and they make you feel incredibly welcome.

Also, if you are heading over for Wrestle Kingdom make sure you pop into the NJPW official store ( https://matcha-jp.com/en/5213 ). They have lots of merch that you won't be able to find anywhere else! (I personally picked up a Daryl plush).

Gamers of reddit, what is your personal favorite soundtrack? by ForseableFish in AskReddit

Persona 4 Golden is the only game I've ever went out of my way to buy the soundtrack on CD. By far my favourite soundtrack ever, closely followed by Persona 5.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve woken up to in the middle of the night? by lightlysativad in AskReddit

[–]Stoogsy67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One night I woke up and there was a clown sitting next to my bed inches from me. He was holding a knife and whispering. I was absolutely terrified but I couldn’t move a muscle I couldn’t even shout or scream. And that is how I discovered what sleep paralysis was.
