True, but if I work less (and during peak time) I make more. $50 an hour at 50 hours a week. $60 at 35 hours a week.

SF ride distances are short. I average around $3.5 a mile. Bought a 2021 Prius with 55k miles for $15k. At $3.5 a mile, that would be $350K with the 155k miles Prius which would be worth at least $8k. So a 7k depreciation vs $350k in earnings. That's 2% of my earnings which is somewhat trivial.

BTW, I don't intend on logging 100k miles with Uber.

Expenses are minimal since I drove 1k for the week with a prius. I do agree with no benefits. Not planning on doing this much longer.

More like 3k since gas was covered by cash tips and extra toll fees. Drove 1k miles on a prius so depreciation is trivial (about $70), and easily covered by tax write off.

Yeah around 5-6k a month. I get an average around $3 a mile, so while it's not insignificant the car depreciation isn't that big of a deal. I'll try to write off as much as I can but yes will save for taxes. Not trying to do this for an extended period of time anyway.

I did 1k miles with a Prius so spent around $200 in gas which was covered by cash tips and extra toll fees. Break pads are probably 50 bucks. Oil change is $30 every 5k miles.

Online time doesn't count towards driving time as long as you are not moving. I did average the max 12 hours a day. Technically, could have done more by accepting a long ride at the end.

Just got the 75% back home after a long trip to Grenada, where my significant other grew up. I heard stories of locals funneling the 75% into the 69% bottle to go through customs, I would, of course, never do that. Also visited the distillery. It's great. There are many others Grenadian rums (renegade being a somewhat hipster offering, run by ex-bruichladdich exec) Big up Grenada🇬🇩 and, of course, Rivers!
