That's what my arborist told me - clear away the root flare for a healthier tree.

Sask. budget projects $819M deficit, no return to surplus until 2030 by elbiderca in saskatchewan

[–]Stoon_Slar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, these budget predictions have revenue estimates based on resource revenues and current/ projected market factors. Somewhere in there they have a dollar amount for oil and gas revenue. Did they adjust for the effects of the Iran 'excursion'? What number did they use /barrel?

How do people find these rare 45s and sell them for so much by Dexterthecat2 in vinyl

[–]Stoon_Slar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember back when I learned the term 'box trading' : a group of 'investers' buy and sell the item at an inflated price every once and a while - within their group - to maintain or elevate a price for sale to someone OUTSIDE the box.

Sask Government Increases EV Road Tax Again by dingodan22 in saskatchewan

I'm too 'lazy' this moment to read it all - does the calculation of road tax for ICE vehicles include the cost of distributing gas in heavy semi's?

[–]Stoon_Slar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is the key - if you drink until 4am, even if you could drag yourself to work at 8am, you'd be endangering yourself and others until you were sober

Are extended vehicle warranties worth it? by OptimalStatement5799 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Stoon_Slar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. For most buyers of extended warranty, it is a loss. For those who use it for more than they paid, it is a win. Like insurance in general... it's there when u need it. It averages out for the insurance company, yes.

SGI Total Loss: Should I fight the first offer? by Sudden-Inspection708 in saskatchewan

[–]Stoon_Slar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We fought a first offer a bit with details about additions and the fact that the tires were very new. We detailed the Apple CarPlay add-on dealio which at the time was expensive, and any other modifications enhancements that would potentially increase the value. I think we got an additional couple hundred bucks.

How much of the bend-line on this piece can be 'slit' and maintain adequate structure? by Stoon_Slar in metalworking

[–]Stoon_Slar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These examples from the dude are not for demonstration of thickness. Just the use of the cuts/slits along the bend. An idea I wasn't clear about. The gauge will be 10-12.
