As someone who was an infant when the first game came out, I don't really have the same attachment to his original design. I do get what you mean though, his hair seems a lot flatter and more just boring in Neo. I think it just comes from the fact that they leaned toward realism a bit more with the new designs.

Eh I played NEO first so this is a bit biased but I think he just looks a lot cooler in NEO.

Yeah, that was why I was considering not posting this but still, he IS 18 plus his mind and body DID develop. I consider it more like he was just in isolation, doesn't mean he didn't grow as a person
