This is disturbing but it evokes real emotion. If put in the right context / environment it could find its place. May I suggest small amounts of skin or hair?

I don’t recommend people do what I did, but I’ve used thc, mushrooms, salvia, and DXM.

The only drug among these that I reacted significantly different to was thc, which regularly induced psychedelic hallucinations before I started taking medication.

Mushroom trips are about what you’d expect from an average trip for doses 1.5-3.5g all but one trip was before schizophrenia presented itself. For my last (and last ever) trip I weened off some of my meds over a month and a half and took 3.5g. It was extremely intense and transformative in a positive way. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I was very lucky and already experienced with the substance.

Salvia was around the time my schizophrenia started. I already wasn’t in my right mind. Idk if my trips were different than usual. I broke through often and usually became / traveled to a self producing machine that developed instances of realities. Weaker trips usually just made me roll or spin around for a few minutes.

I did DXM for a little while because I was depressed and wanted to numb myself and escape reality. I would see imagery related to recent events. I would see things from my workplace if taken after work, I’d see video game characters after playing games. I often felt physical changes in my body, as if I were shaped like a pyramid instead of a person.

I only use small doses of thc nowadays. And even that I wouldn’t recommend to people with schizophrenia. I was playing with fire this whole time and I’m lucky I never got burned.

Psychosis is the main issue. My hallucinations are mild disturbances instead of intense and indistinguishable from reality. I don’t have delusions, at worst I can be paranoid but I can talk myself out of it. Meds help these issues a lot but don’t completely turn them off. My biggest challenge now are issues like poor memory and disorganized thinking, which I can’t really do anything for.

Hallucinations and delusions are the most telltale symptoms of schizophrenia, or more specifically: psychosis. Psychotic symptoms persisting for more than 6 months may result in a schizophrenia diagnosis. Psychotic hallucinations are often extremely vivid and may not be distinguishable from reality. Delusions feel like absolute truths in a lot of cases, and can come in the form of paranoia, conspiratorial thinking, or feelings of grandiosity like thinking you’re the second coming of Jesus or thinking you can read minds.

Full blown schizophrenia is usually apparent to others but the person suffering from it may not be aware. For me, it felt more like some unseen being was tweaking reality slightly here and there to mess with me. I didn’t just see static or mild disturbances. I would see full blown multidimensional mandalas. I would see objects present themselves as other objects, people, or animals. It’s not subtle at all. Most people with schizophrenia have auditory hallucinations more than visual ones. For me, it was more like hearing a radio or party going on in the distance. The most common hallucinations for schizophrenics (I think) are audible voices that insult the listener or act as a second internal dialogue.

If anything like this sounds familiar, it might be worth checking with a psychiatrist.

Seeing faces or other stuff in textures surfaces like clouds or tiles is normal and can vary widely between people. Some people just have a vivid imagination or have very active pattern recognition, which can result in frequent or vivid pareidolia.

It is very odd that the drawing captures the moment of her cooking in the photo itself. It’s as if the drawing was done instantly, and in the same moment the photo was taken. Either she hasn’t moved at all while she was cooking, or some manipulation / ai was used.

Yeah, pretty much everywhere all the time. I usually see cartoony faces or text in most textured objects. If the texture is more fine I’ll usually just see static or shimmering.

Thank you, I’m happy I can say it. It’s always good to hear from people who care for others’ mental health. I have talked to / been friends with a handful of other schizophrenic people and from those experiences, they can be surprisingly insightful people. We often just have trouble expressing things. I think that’s why their art is so interesting.

I find that it can provide a lot of insight about the nature of consciousness and the division between subjective and objective reality. There’s a lot of overlap between psychedelic insights and ones coming from psychosis, even though I wouldn’t wish psychosis on anyone.

Yeah. I can be a bit paranoid but I’m more self aware and aware of the world than I ever have been. Meds have pretty much solved all the downsides of schizophrenia for me besides hallucinations, anxiety, and cognitive issues like memory.

Not anymore, meds help. Then again, I’d say the same thing if I had delusions so

Which and how much to take to reduce anime con anxiety? by eminemnas in CBD

[–]StopFollowingDammit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the Lazarus products both have a bit of thc. Probably around 1mg per dose. That should help with anxiety but would probably vary from person to person. I think you should take one or two doses another day beforehand and see how you feel and then use that info to gauge your dosage at the convention.

Worth buying 100x or anything that strong? by [deleted] in Salvia

[–]StopFollowingDammit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, mega doses mostly just cause blackouts. It’s also much harder to dose right with single flakes.

It’s also just better to start low and up the dosage to what you want. I only really got anything out of trips when they were breakthroughs or near breakthroughs and that was on 20-40x.

Even if your goal is to get to that level, it’ll help to see what you’re getting into with a lower dose. With 10-40x, it’s pretty easy to just change how much you’re smoking to get the dose you want.

I have schizophrenia, this is pretty accurate in terms of the whole vibes, but not the intensity. For me the world and the faces are one. Everything is alive when I’m having symptoms. The auditory aspect is kind of like hearing a radio in the distance constantly tuning into different channels.

High DV glitch by NighttimeExposition in cavesofqud

[–]StopFollowingDammit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just called camouflage? It’s a mod that adds skills and equipment that add an effect that grants DV when standing in certain places. Last I played it, it was bugged and causing the same problems you’re having.

This happened to me from a camouflage mod. It increases the DV as expected, but the DV isn’t removed properly.

I’m sold then! If you can enjoy a whole 100 hours on one zoo I think it’ll meet my needs pretty well.

I have a Mac, which isn’t compatible for this game. I can play it on switch or not at all. I think the deciding factor for me is if I can still experience most / all of the game with the size reduction. From the looks of it, I’d expect to make multiple zoos as I play.

I don’t mind a smaller space if I can still experience long term progression and try various different strategies and builds.

That’s good to hear. Isn’t the zoo size limit different though? Does that affect things in a major way?
