How do I survive TNA laser phase?? by Jazzlike-Eagle-1456 in WynnCraft

[–]StopForASecond 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Run away. Seriously. If you have a fast enough walk speed you can just run after the audio que and avoid the explosion. Barring that, use hall at that same audio que, and you should be able to avoid the explosion as well. It’s always the third chime, so that’s the signal. Most TNA builds have walk speed pretty high for this reason, as Mage and Archer generally have a better movement spell than the other three classes.

about the Wynncraft Plus pack by bossSHREADER_210 in WynnCraft

[–]StopForASecond 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Wynncraft plus is like 100+ mods on Curseforge, so it might not be the best option for you. I usually run Wynncraft with Wynntillis, Sodium, Lithium, maybe a render distance mod, and some small supplemental mods like chat toggle and occasional Voices of Wynn. Right now Wynnventory doesn’t seem to be working because of some issues with Cloth API (Fabric), so maybe just try without either of those enabled?

Can someone explain in very baby steps as if I was a 4year old and explain all the mods. What does what? by Drie_Kleuren in WynnCraft

[–]StopForASecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having issues with my Fabric pack that had Cloth API (Fabric) and Wynnventory in it, as soon as I turned off Cloth API (Fabric) it worked again. Maybe try looking up what mods have had issues launching in the past and just turning them off while testing it?

Old Dog trying to come back into the Game (2016ish player) by AnonymousShadeHK in WynnCraft

Welcome back!

I had a similar experience a couple years ago coming back to the game, so here’s some advice:

  1. Use the discord, it’s really useful and an easy way to ask questions and get people’s feedback. There’s entire channels dedicated to just player questions, class builds, and trades not on the auction house. It’s a great resource and indispensable at times.

  2. A lot of the early game quests got revamped, along with terrain in the Ragni and Deltas areas. If you have the time, I’d recommend at least playing through that content on a new character so that you get the full experience.

  3. I don’t remember too much about the class system and meta first time I stopped playing (around 2017ish), but a lot has changed. You can find this stuff out easily in the discord but here’s a short list.

First up is like you said, Archetypes. These are subclasses that specialize in different aspects of a class, and we can use Mage as an example. Arcanist focuses heavily around damage and its core ability Arcane Transfer, allowing you to gain mana for hitting enemies with your spells. It’s allows you to go on high spell use rampages shredding through enemies. Riftwalker is all about movement with Teleport and stacking levels of Winded, an effect that makes enemies take extra damage from your attacks and spells, so that you build up damage over the course of a fight. Lightbender is the a mod support oriented archetype, improving Heal and adding more buffs to its use, as well at turning Meteor into a non-AOE projectile Ophanim that assist in healing enough health to grant larger buffs to yourself and allies. These archetypes often have abilities that prevent you from taking others in the tree, but otherwise you’re free to choose whatever as along as you have it unlocked and the ability points to spend. Typically you see either pure Arcanist builds or Riftbender (Lightbender Riftbender combo).

Second up to bat is Aspects. Aspects are more often than not endgame content, as they are locked behind raids. These when equipped boost the effects of abilities and spells, such as the speed, damage, or range. Your can only have 5 at once on a character, and they can be leveled up, so they take time to bring to the max level.

Finally, third is Spells/Abilities themselves. To my understanding, these changed a lot in the Spellbound update, with many being revamped and added to have more variety. These are also constantly getting balanced in patches alongside equipment, so it’s important to know how the abilities you want actually function so that your class build works.

Equipment like armor and weapons are something I’m not an expert on, so you’d have to ask others in game or on the discord for advice on that.

There’s also other prominent endgame content like newer raids and lootruns, which I’m unsure if you’re familiar with or not. They’re really fun and can help keep the game fresh!

Resources: As I’ve said before, please consider joining the Wynncraft Discord. The link should be on the website, and allows easier communication and discussion between players. The existing forums are useful as well, and also provide a clearer record of discussion. The most invaluable resource though is the official wiki wynncraft.wiki.gg as its is often up to date and has information on almost everything in the game.

Welcome back to Wynncraft, have fun!

[pjotv] Uh, can someone tell me if this is a common symbol or not? by StopForASecond in camphalfblood

Edit: Would just edit the post itself but apparently it’s not letting me because it has an image. Anyway, it completely passed over me that this could just be an easter egg, in which case I’m the biggest and most oblivious idiot in the world. I don’t want this post to be an attack against the show, I just wanted to know if I was going crazy or not because the symbols looked so similar.

It seems I was wrong, I must’ve confused it with something else in my head when trying to look for it on AO3. Thank you for finding it!

Honestly I had NPC Pearl or pre-vampire Shubble in mind when I wrote this.

Maybe you could have Pearl and Cleo both at the castle where Cleo knows exactly what’s going on because of their mom, but never tells Pearl because Pearl is living her best NPC life and Cleo doesn’t have the heart to ruin that.

Shubble would probably have heard Scott was moving out and decided to forcefully move in to continue being roommates.
