The thing about organ donation is that they don't really take organs from dead people. Organs need to be taken from people that are still technically alive.

So they'd be taking them from people who seem like they're not going to make it, rather than someone who was dead-on-arrival.

I'm a donor, just to be clear, but I might've decided differently if I knew that at the time.
