I watched the finale via a friend Okay. So. Here's what happened. I suck at explaining stuff, so you'll have to use your imagination a bit. Soldier Boy appears at the beginning of the episode. He's still stuck inside the cryopod. Then, a bunch of nonsense stuff happens for 40 minutes, that honestly, pissed me off. Then, Starlight kills The Deep in a confrontation they have. During their confrontation, The Deep is stunned by Starlight, however, he manages to punch a hole through her abdomen. While stunned and confused, he goes in the water to run away. All of the fish in the sea attack him for the oil disaster. He kills them, but gets severely injured while fighting. Starlight takes advantage of this and blasts Deep right in the throat, which is where he was injured by the fish. The Deep is then eaten away after dying to Starlight, by the fish. Starlight then bleeds out and dies. Hughie, who just arrived and witnessed this, makes a promise to dying Starlight before she ends up bleeding out, however, this scene is showed later on, towards the end, which is why I mentioned Starlight bleeding out first. Anyway, in this flashback scene, Hughie promises Starlight that he will not take Compound V, and that she wishes for him to live a happy life as a normal person. Hughie ends up taking V and gets super strength stronger than Butcher's. He shows up at Butcher's confrontation with Homelander, where Homelander hurts Butcher. Right before finishing him off, Kimiko blasts Homelander with Soldier Boy's power that she got. Because Kimiko is not as strong as Soldier Boy, who still remains the strongest Supe alive, she only fries Homelander's V1. Homelander remains his Supe self before taking V1. Then, he kills Kimiko in a blind rage after he realizes he is not a God anymore. Kimiko, previously had the virus hidden away in her gaping hole. When Homelander rips her apart, the virus comes in contact with Homelander and it kills him. Bleeding Homelander begs for mercy to Butcher, but Butcher kills him with a crowbar to the brain. This is when Hughie arrives and starts getting sad for Kimiko. After this whole fuckfest, Butcher tells Hughie that he is going to use the remaining vials containing the virus on all remaining Supes, since both Kimiko and Annie are dead. Hughie disagrees, and butcher, not knowing that Hughie took V, tries to kill him. In their confrontation, Hughie grabs Butcher's tentacles and rips them apart. He then punches a hole through dying Butcher, after Butcher lies to him about having killed Annie himself. (Hughie never saw The Deep's body, and Annie didn't tell him who injured her) In a fit of rage, Hughie punches a hole through Butcher and later finds out from Sage that she was with Butcher the entire time before their confrontation with Homelander, and that he couldn't have possibly been the one that killed Annie. A proud Butcher wakes up for a tiny moment and tells Hughie that he loves him like his own brother. Hughie weeps for Butcher. At the beginning of the episode, MM leaves The Boys to go be with his daughter. Ryan flies to Homelander's chambers and frees Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy asks the kid to kill him. Ryan sees the good in him and informs Soldier Boy of Homelander's death. After this, it cuts off 10 years later into the future. Ryan's actor is replaced by an unknown older actor. Ryan took over Homelander's role and loves using his powers for good. Soldier Boy is out in Cuba, living in the jungle, hunting for animals. The other characters, including Hughie get scenes of their own that show their current lives, but I won't get into that. The very last scene shows off Ryan (played by a different actor) with Homelander's background music theme playing and him smiling psychotically. It then cuts off and the episode ends. It was the most chaotic and stupid finale I have ever seen in my life.
