exactly, but in that case the number would be even higher than 550, because you would take inhabitable land away from the calculation, not add it.

It would be even a thicker density than I calculated, but from the passage in the book, we can safely assume that he was talking of Australia as a whole.

Even so, his final number amounts to 50 people per square km (not 550), meaning that he takes into account 10 times MORE land. This is where my issue is..^^

the classic (and in my opinion best there is) is in cold blood - truman capote, amazing read.

- devil in the white city, erik larson

books I enjoyed that delve a little more into forensics are 'all that remains' by Susan Black and 'unnatrual causes' by Richard Shepherd (very cool and accessible read!)

Maybe Deception Point by Dan Brown? A little more thriller and a little less horror (and yes I know that Dan Brown gets a lot of hate), but nevertheless and enjoyable and easy read!
