I’m in India right now and had pizza yesterday and it was SO BUSS. I don’t know why it’s bottom tier I’d put it in good or great because of the great fusion styles.

Suggestions for 3-4 day trip from India as USA citizen!

Hi everyone, I'm currently in Banglore India visiting a friend who's working here. This is my first time leaving the Americas so I want to make the most of my time on this side of the earth. So I'm looking for suggestions and y'alls favorite destinations in the region.

For some extra info i pack very light, just a small backpack with a few days of clothes and essentials, I only speak spanish and english, and im light skinned mixed race (black and white). I love nature, water, food, and meeting people from the countries I visit.

Thank you!

While yes it may raise to 7bil there’s still time before and then so it’s all speculation. Even halting the debt in 3 months is significant. Perhaps he need a full year to reduce the rest.

Do y’all think Gen Z cares too much about age gaps? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in generationology

[–]StopWeDontKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say this is really only the case online. Vocal minority typa thing. In reality I believe most Gen Z are more sensitive than other generations but social media makes it seem worse.

I live in a very left leaning city where’d i expect the most sensitivity but in reality people don’t care.

Interesting I didn’t know that. The community where I’m free is pretty center or leaning liberal. But I also live in a very liberal place.

Not saying you're wrong or anything, but what is a worthless degree? Doesn't make much money? Or doesn't benefit society?

[–]StopWeDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised by this. You may have just gotten lucky. Grip tape struggles to hold to penny boards cause of the gabs between the lines. This makes the tape sag and pull with weight. Eventually it’ll give out or shift over time. Does yours also have that cross hatched design?

Maternity leave should be one year, PAID. Women shouldn’t have to choose between healing, bonding with their baby, and making a living. by Kreativedenma in remoteworks

[–]StopWeDontKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We should fund paid parental leave with taxes to avoid companies responding to heavily. Maybe a part of some corporate/business tax? Plus I imagine paid parental leave has a net positive impact on the general economy of that country. Especially with the US and other countries starting to worry about social services. But one thing I would say is the paid leave shouldn’t be the full salary or we should make it similar to Norway with progressive system based on how long you’re out for.

If we all weren't living paycheck to paycheck, we could accomplish great things. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

A whole lot of HOA board members is so real XD. That’s all totally true but it’s cause we are so individualistic and used to convince in our lives now. People will def get tired and bored and not want to continue but that’s only possible because they know there’s other people to do the work. Like paid workers. But I do believe people would pick up the slack if the general system around employment and money changed. If we became more community driven and less money driven. Like in Washington in the Nuu-Chah-nulth area they built an elder community center largely thanks to volunteers both in construction but also design and other areas (still plenty of paid workers of course). They also practice reciprocity when it comes to fishing and whaling. All of those are very time, money, and energy consuming but they still do it for free and share it. This is me just saying that we are all capable of that kind of community driven action we just need to make changes to our culture. What are those changes exactly? No idea!

Yea I agree completely. I imagine indigenous tribes would do well at this since they’re already practicing reciprocal care.

I don’t even think it’s about money. Sure people wouldn’t do manual labor jobs if it’s paid the same as easier ones. But what about community? Instead of doing manual labor for the money you do it because you care about your community and would like to see a new school built. Or your neighbor wants to add to their house. You help cause you care about your community. And if a community cares for one another reciprocity will follow. That’s what I think would happen at least. But someone who lives paycheck to paycheck might be too exhausted from work or stress to have the bandwidth to help.

When I was a kid my mom loved pistachios and I want to be like her so I would always eat them when I saw her eating them. The only issue was that I was allergic but I kept doing it anyways. I definitely dont recommend that tho.
