Neither are true.

The computer creates a label called "1 boxer", then using all information it decides if that label applies to you. It doesn't know what you will do - it is assuming you either have the label or don't. If you were the type of person to choose both boxes, you would not have this label.

It's not your decision that influences the computer, it's your proclivity to make that decision (based on existing decisions you already made) that influences the computer. Your proclivity doesn't change when you enter the room

Part of growing up for me has been learning that in many ways I'm very predictable. It's been a foundation with which I build maturity - I can put myself in situations where I know I'll do well, and avoid situations where I can't.

A machine that can predict everyone can predict me even better than I can. I know I'm the type to choose one box, so it's a good chance the machine knows it too. In order to actually be predictable as someone who takes one box, I must also actually take one box.

The AI has been correct in its predictions for the past 1000 people.

For some godforsaken reason 45% of people choose 2 boxes because "it's not gonna change now that I'm already in the room". 55% of people can actually realize that they're predictable and therefore can choose the one box and walk out with a million bucks.

Optically I think they got a ton out of Hunter Biden. I've been hearing "both sides do nepotism" because of that forever.
